A new anime series called ‘Blue Period’ is coming to Netflix, and it will be available every week. But what time will the new episodes be available around the world?
Over the last decade, platforms like Crunchyroll and Funimation have grown to be household names in the anime streaming market.
There was only one option for Japanese anime fans: watch the domestic broadcast in Japan or wait for the entire season to be published on streaming services like Netflix and Amazon Prime.
According to Netflix’s announcement, that’s about to change that they’ve bought the international streaming rights to Blue Period and will be releasing new episodes every week.
WHAT DOES THE BLUE PERIOD HAVE TO DO WITH ANYTHING?
Blue Period is a coming-of-age drama centered on Yatra Yaguchi, a sophomore in high school.
Yatra’s life is simple; he works hard at school, achieves high academic standards, and spends time playing with his friends…
Nevertheless, he is a boring until he discovers his passion for the arts.
The best way to watch Blue Period is to use the following instructions:
Anime lovers worldwide will be able to watch Blue Period first on Netflix Japan, then on a native television network, and finally on Netflix’s global streaming services for overseas viewers.
Blue Period will premiere on Netflix in the U.S. on October 12, but it will be released in weekly installments, unlike other Netflix original series.
Since most Netflix exclusive series don’t debut until after a show has finished airing in its home country, this is a big deal.
Because of this, Western audiences may soon be able to see anime in a different format than they are used to.
Netflix has revealed that outside of Japan, beginning October 21, it will also stream weekly episodes of another anime, Komi Can’t Communicate.
It is unlikely that Blue Period will be made available on other streaming services such as Funimation or Crunchyroll due to Netflix’s exclusive international broadcasting rights purchase.
NETFLIX RELEASE DATE AND TIME, IN BLUE…
Before its Japanese television debut on Friday, October 1, Netflix Japan began streaming Blue Period on Saturday, September 25.
Beginning this coming Saturday, October 9, the anime series will be available to watch in countries worldwide via Netflix’s foreign services.
