Almost everyone likes reading comic books. Manhwa comics are well-known among anime fans in Korea. Manga, Japan’s national encyclopedia, is progressively being adapted for the screen as time passes (Japanese comic type stuff).
A manga film adaptation may, of course, be made. Really amazing, right? Another excellent manhwa adaptation is Park Yongji’s “The God Of High School,” based on the more well-known manhwa.
Although they had a bad reputation for manhwa adaptations, Crunchyroll managed to produce a high-quality martial arts animation based on a manhwa that was nearly (but not quite) similar in narrative and met the high expectations of its fanbase. And now, fans are eagerly awaiting God of High School Season 2.
PLOT PLAN FOR THIS ANIMATION
Those who haven’t read the manga can debate what the anime depicts once it’s been shown. In addition to “Yuri!!! on Ice,” “Attack on Titan,” and “Dororo,” MAPPA, the company responsible for this 13-part animated series, has produced other well-known works.
The story revolves around 17-year-old Jin Mori, a martial arts prodigy raised by his legendary grandpa Jin Tae Jin and his disciples, who were endowed with the powers of mythical creatures and Gods (do you want me to tell you who they are?) to compete in a tournament held by the legendary Jin Tae Jin.
The release date for God of High School’s second season has not yet been set.
Most anime fans know that whether or not an anime gets a second season depends on a variety of different factors, such as how popular it is, whether or not there is enough manga or manhwa material available (RIP Kentaro Miura), and whether or not a studio or producer is willing to take the initiative.
It’s fair to presume “The God Of High School” will return for a second season for the first two reasons listed above.
Crunchyroll has yet to comment on the potential of a second season, so we’ll have to wait and see. If the anime industry works as usual, Season 2 will launch in 2022, with Season 1 starting in summer 2020 and lasting two months.
God of high school’s second season cast and crew were confirmed recently.
Tachibana Tatsumaru will continue to play Jin Mo Ri in the series with Kumagai Kentarou as Han Dae Wi and Ohashi Ayaka as Yu Mi Ra as long as the ‘three musketeers’ are still alive.
If the anime follows the manga closely, Park Mugen (Namikawa Daisuke) and Park Il Pyo (Uchiyama Kouki) will reprise their roles in the anime. A plethora of new characters will also appear.
