Who among us does not enjoy reading comic books? For those of us in the otaku community who are aware, Korea has its own form of a comic book called manhwa. More and more Japan is adapting anime from its vast manga collection (Japanese comic type stuff).
It’s possible that somebody will want to make a movie adaptation of this work of art. That’s quite cool, isn’t it? Then there’s Park Yongji’s version of the more well-known manhwa “The God Of High School,” which is also rather good.
Despite their reputation for shoddy manhwa adaptations, Crunchyroll released this action-packed martial arts anime, which quickly became popular due to the fact that the storyline remained nearly (but not quite) identical to the manhwa’s and was able to meet the high expectations of its audience members. And now, God of High School Season 2 is being demanded by the audience.
Season 2 of God of High School is scheduled for release on December 21, 2017.
For those of us who have been following anime for a while, we know that whether or not an anime will get a second season is dependent on a number of different factors, such as how popular it is, whether or not there is enough manga or manhwa material left (RIP Kentaro Miura), and whether or not a studio or producer is willing to take the initiative. Because the first two factors favor the god of high school, a second season of “The God Of High School” is safe to be expected.
Unfortunately, there has been no official word from Crunchyroll on the possibility of a second season. Given that Season 1 began in summer 2020 and lasted for two months, we can expect Season 2 to begin airing in 2022 if the anime industry holds true.
The second season of the god of high school’s cast and crew has been announced
As long as the ‘three musketeers’ aren’t dead,’ we’ll see Tachibana Tatsumaru as Jin Mo Ri, Kumagai Kentarou as Han Dae Wi, and Ohashi Ayaka as Yu Mi Ra.
It’s safe to assume that significant characters like Park Mugen (voiced by Namikawa Daisuke) and Park Il Pyo (voiced by Uchiyama Kouki) will be reprising their roles in the anime.
An overview of the first season
Season 1 continues the tournament arc from the manhwa and brings it to a close in the first season. After that, we watch warrior Taek transform into a God.
This sets off our Jin Mo Ri’s transformation, which leads him to understand that he’s actually a 1000-year old great monkey king Wukong.
He then challenges Jin Mo Ri to employ his powers, including summoning his staff Ruyi Jingu. When he overcomes Taek, he transforms into “The God Of High School,” a monstrous creature.
CRIMINAL COURSE for the second season of God of High School
Finally reaching the tournament arc’s conclusion also provides a hint as to what will happen next season. Mo Ri is advised by Dae wi and Mi Ra to travel to his birthplace in order to reclaim his memories as a God. And from that, we can deduce they’ll be able to travel through God of High School’s space and time. a second season
