Chainsaw Man Volume 6 Review.
Chainsaw Man Volume 6 continues the exciting evolution of Chainsaw Man. Denji and the other Public Safety Devil Hunters are now closer to eliminating the Gun Devil after defeating Samurai Sword.
Chainsaw Man Vol 6 was written and illustrated by mangaka Tatsuki. It is translated into English by VIZ Media’s Shonen Jump imprint. Localization includes a translation by Amanda Haley and touch-up art by Sabrina Heep. Design by Julian Robinson and edited by Alexis Kirsch.
Chainsaw Man Volume 6 continues the story of Reze and Denji. Although it may seem like they are meant to be together, things don’t always go according to plan.
Chainsaw Man Volume 6 continues the theme of the previous volumes. It reminds readers that Denji cannot have nice things. Right away, Reze gives us a sweet confession of her love, complete with romantic fireworks, but it quickly turns into Reze biting his tongue and cutting off his arm. It’s a casual first date. Reze turns out to be a Bomb Devil.
This leads to some really amazing art as she works to eliminate Denji, Beam, and other terrorists. It is amazing to see Reze as a Bomb Devil, and it is incredible to see the art showing her deadly explosions. While I’m excited to see the entire series in anime, this battle is what I’m most interested in.
Denji and his friends escape safe, so Division 2 attempts to keep Reze at bay. But Reze proves more difficult than they can handle. It is clear that Reze has deadly powers, and it was felt as a threat in every panel.
Denji is pursued by Reze, who eventually reaches him. He transforms into the Chainsaw Devil, despite the danger it poses to his life. This is where Denji says, “Everybody wants my chainsaw heart.
But what about my heart? Benji’s! Is there anyone who doesn’t want this? This really shows Denji’s struggle to be loved and the pain he feels about living his life alone. Although it can seem a little perverted, the desire feels natural and real.
The battle that ensues between Reze and Denji is stunningly beautiful. Denji’s death threat is evident in every panel. Denji also learns that he is not alone and that his teammates and friends are there for him as much as he is for them.
The most memorable moment of the series is probably when Denji and Beam join forces to create an incredible sharknado. Yes, that’s right. A sharknado.
Because I believe the ending to Chainsaw Man Volume 6 deserves to be seen, I won’t say what the battle looks like. Some of the most memorable moments in the series are the final interactions between Reze and Denji. I recommend the entire series, but this volume is my favorite. It really helps to develop Denji.
