Spoilers for ‘The Irregular at Magic High School’ Season 2 Episode 2
The first episode of season 2 of “The Irregular at Magic High School” mentioned something about a vampire incident in the vicinity of First High. Episode 1 also ended with a cryptic scene with two masked people standing next to an unconscious woman, who appeared to have a neck wound.
It was a pretty clear indication that “The Irregular at Magic High School” season 2 episode 2 will focus more on vampire incidents with the attackers now fleeing to Tokyo. The latest attack shown in the anime also comes after Lina received an urgent call from her associates at the USNA confirming that her rebel forces have fled to Japan, particularly Tokyo. The next episode should address how these two things are related.
Episode 2 of season 2 of “The Irregular at Magic High School” is titled “Visitor Arc II”, corresponding to the tenth volume of Tsutomu Sato’s light novel of the same name, where the anime is based. The events in this volume were more focused on introducing the vampire incidents that would highlight the change in theme between season 1 and 2. While magic is obviously still the primary tool for defeating enemies in season 2, Visitor Arc deals with strong references to occult elements like vampire attacks.
On top of that, “The Irregular at Magic High School” Season 2 Episode 2 likely features Tatsuya’s growing suspicion of Lina. The latter is one of the more recent additions to the series, tasked with finding the strategic-class wizard that caused Halloween burned out. Tatsuya now knows that USNA has sent forces to find him, and Lina has had several lapses that may have compromised her cover.
