We begin chapter 986 with its title my name where oda uses shusha in mai like how the samurais talk later we know that this is a reference to momonosuke’s response to kaido and how much it represents the samurai’s honor and spirit of becoming one with the bushido code but straight of the bat.
The chapter starts with dengiro and kinimon finally reaching the back door of the castle meeting with the others yes the others meaning that rhizo izo kiku and the rest defeated kanjiro and his goons hikunojo and raizo are crying as kanjiro is lying on the ground of blood around him this snake is dead in the stream some ideas were thrown around like counter being a drawing however because the body did not dissipate into ink it’s clear that this ain’t no inclined drawing meaning that kanjiro is really dead.

The reds cupboards reunite along with Ezo and the falling judas conjured we get a brief flashback showcasing the memories this lord had with Odin the memories were of better times before the revelation of any betrayals before the loss of the idol and the leader who some believed to be the messiah of one o, okay maybe I’m just stretching it but seriously the death of Odin was a huge milestone for everyone at this scene and looking at it this flashback was a beautiful and sweet moment to the bitterness of revenge that the scabbards have decided to pursue but moving back to the boy’s skinny moon and dangerous.

Their reunion also shows an early success to the pincer ambushed they concocted then judo came from the left side of the island whilst kinemon came from the right meeting everyone at the back just like they planned the boys also were able to greet izor who again hasn’t been seen for a very long time after the assembly the scabbards proceeded together into the back of the castle things ain’t looking too bad for the red dead squad you know I’m kind of thinking this might be a success story with that though we move inside the castle to kaido’s speech towards the samurais and the ninjas of wano with their shogun dead kaido askes all of them whether they are going to choose to die alongside their master orochi or will they choose to forego the samurai pride and join kaido in world domination now kaido as a character is well worse in the way of life of the samurais.
especially since his fight with odin as odin left an unforgettable impression before he died i’m sure in many ways kaido feels a sense of defeat and lost to odin as if it wasn’t for underhanded tactics the outcomes might have been a bit different than what it is right now so in some ways kaido has respect for odin and the way of bushido he actually even relays these points in his speech as kaido follows up in telling the samurais on how he understands their way of life. This was actually an emotionally epic chapter filled with hype all around
