IVANA TRUMP, DONALD TRUMP’S EX-WIFE, HAS DIED

Ivana, a Czech-American socialite, businesswoman, and former model, was married to Donald Trump from 1977 to 1992 and is the mother to his three eldest children, Donald Trump Jr., Ivanka Trump, and Eric Trump.

Ivana Trump was a survivor,” the statement said. “She fled from communism and embraced this country. She taught her children about grit and toughness, compassion and determination.

Ivana Trump grew up in the former Czechoslovakia, before moving to Canada in the 1970s, where she became a model. She married Donald Trump in 1977, and they welcomed their first child, Donald Jr., on the last day of that year.

She grew up in the former Czechoslovakia under communist rule and left in the 1970s. She married her second husband, Trump, in 1977.

The couple had three children together and divorced in 1992 after 15 years of marriage. The Czech-born businesswoman and former model held several roles across the Trump family businesses, including serving as the former vice president of interior design for the Trump Organization.

Ivana was deeply intertwined in several of Donald Trump’s business ventures; she served as CEO at Trump's Castle, one of the his hotel casinos in Atlantic City, and managed the design of the Grand Hyatt hotel, which Trump owned at the time, and Trump Tower.

Her construction and design work spanned Trump Tower, Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City and the Grand Hyatt Hotel. And she managed Trump’s prized Plaza Hotel property.
