‘Hocus Pocus 2’ Sanderson Sisters Are Soaring to New Heights! Cast, Release Date & Synopsis

In a fresh new poster for Hocus Pocus 2, you can see the Sanderson Sisters reaching new heights. Images of the iconic trio riding high on their respective forms of transportation were posted to the film’s Twitter account. In front of a huge full moon, the sisters stand ready to cast a spell or two on the populace below with an assortment of brooms and Swiffers. Talking about down there, the poster’s bottom suggests that William “Billy” Butcherson (Doug Jones) will be back to kill the witches who are devouring children.
Almost thirty years ago, a bunch of mischievous children transformed our three main characters, Winifred (Bette Midler), Sarah (Sarah Jessica Parker), and Mary (Kathy Najimy), into dust.

Now the witches have returned, and the citizens of Salem will learn the hard way what happens when they cross one. Becca (Whitney Peak), Cassie (Lilia Buckingham), and Izzy (Belissa Escobedo), three high school girls, undertake a ceremony that mistakenly brings the long-dead sisters back from the tomb, sending them on a perilous adventure to turn the evil witches to dust for good. Along with the brand new antics (and maybe some musical numbers! ), viewers will also get a glimpse inside the origins of the Sanderson Sisters as the infamous witches we all know and love to hate.

In a recent clip, we saw newcomer Hannah Waddingham, who is part of the franchise, instilling these principles in kids Winnie, Sarah, and Mary. Former Veep cast members Tony Hale and Sam Richardson, as well as newcomer Froy Gutierrez, will also be appearing (Teen Wolf). Previous competitors from RuPaul’s Drag Race Ginger Minj, Kornbread Jeté, and Kahmora Hall will be playing drag queen versions of the famous trio of witches, presumably lip-syncing for their lives.

There’s still time to catch up on the photographs, videos, teasers, and more material that have been pouring in quicker than you can say “amuck amuck amuck!” before the sequel takes flight onto Disney+ on September 30. If you’ve forgotten what happens in the first movie, you may see it again on Disney+’s streaming service, Hocus Pocus.
