Recap of episode 10 of season 4: Overlord
This was one of the most-anticipated chapters of the season, and it focused primarily on Ainz and his calculations for the war. In the tenth episode, “The Last King,” we learned about Ainz’s intentions and the most effective way to achieve the desired result. Prince Zanac is concerned about the upcoming ferocious onslaught from the Sorceror Kingdom and is attempting to come up with the best strategy to counter it. As Ainz watched his troops fall at the hands of Vermillion’s soldiers, he decided to switch tactics and launch an assault on the royal capital instead of cities and villages in the North. Ainz knew the sequences would eventually add up to this, and he was prepared for the worst-case scenario. Once more, Prince Zanac and his worries about his realm are the focal points of this episode. The highlight of the show is when Prince Zanac stops by Ainz’s house to see him and hear Ainz sing praises for his bravery. Zanac planned for Ainz to submit, but the situation was effectively wasted. The episode performed a fantastic job in terms of animation quality, and the flowing animations just added to the program’s excitement. Similarly, the score is the highlight of Overlord.
The composers skillfully scored each scene to complement the action on screen. Every week of the first quarter of 2022 featured a number of highly anticipated titles, making it one of the most anticipated months of the year for anime enthusiasts. True, we had a blast for the better part of the month, and the next few months seem much better for anime aficionados. The uncut version of the show will premiere at 10:00 PM JST, with the dubbed version available to watch at 11:00 PM. The episode’s plot can’t be revealed at this time, although the preview suggested that the battle with the Re-Estize Kingdom might play a role.
