Speculations for chapter 337
The Black Bulls, in typical fashion, refuse to accept that Asta has passed away. It’s unclear, though, whether they’ll try to retrieve the youngster or instead focus on the Holy War, hoping that Asta will return on his own. Also, Nacht’s progress in becoming a fully integrated member of his team is highlighted in chapter 337 of Black Clover. Asta, as was widely predicted, has arrived at Yami’s native “Hi no Kuni” (anglicized as Hino Country). Though it’s evident that Ryuuya is cognizant of Asta’s significance to the Clover Kingdom and the forthcoming Holy War, it’s less clear how far Lucius’ plans extend to Hino Country.
The fact that Ryuuya seemed to be waiting for Asta’s arrival adds fuel to the fire of speculation concerning his hand in Clover Kingdom matters. Unknown is Ryuuya’s connection to Yami, but it’s easy to see the resemblance between the two. Ryuuya never explicitly denies being connected to the Black Bulls captain, therefore it’s likely that they are related. Raw scans of Black Clover chapter 337 show that he only mentions knowing Yami from childhood until the other man was 13 years old, the age at which Yami first appears in Clover. A somewhat recent change, as mentioned in chapter 337 of Black Clover, is that Liebe is being handled independently of Asta. Based on what they said to each other, it’s evident that the protagonist will be undergoing further training soon, maybe at Ryuuya’s hands but possibly with someone else. Asta will likely improve his Ki and study new sword forms while in Hino Country.
Black Clover 337 delivers the long-awaited disclosure of the identity of the strange guy who discovered Asta. The raw scans released today show Asta arriving in Hino Country and being greeted by a potential new tutor. The Black Bulls have also returned to their home turf. The reaction they have shown to the news of Asta’s presumed death is typical. Spoilers for Black Clover chapter 337 don’t say if the Black Bulls or the Clover Kingdom Magic Knights try to save them or not.

Upon returning to their camp, the Black Bulls are reportedly informed by Nacht that Asta was terminally wounded and banished using Spatial Magic. Even though Nacht says they should accept that Asta is dead, the Black Bulls won’t accept it until they see his body for themselves. Meanwhile, far from Clover, at a hospital, Asta is greeted by the guy who rescued him. The guy in the kimono with the eyepatch looks like Yami. In addition to knowing Asta by name, he is also well apprised of the recent events in the Clover Kingdom. He can apparently see through his patched eye.
Asta would be doomed to fail if he returned to Clover at this time, he says. Unknown to everybody in the room, a female samurai walks by. A guy tells Asta that Liebe is receiving medical care elsewhere. Asta observes that the man has a “Ki” with Yami. The two were childhood friends, but the man hasn’t seen the Black Bulls Captain since Yami was a teenager. Just like Yami, he has a penchant for grammatical errors. The guy instructs Asta to “right here, right now” enhance his strength by training here. He then explains that the name of this nation is “Hi no Kuni,” which literally translates to “the Land of the Sun” (“Hi” means “sun” and “Kuni” means “country”). Ryuuya Ryuudou is the country’s general, or Shogun (Japanese spelling).
