[Updated] Spoilers for Haikyu Anime Film Storyline, Summaries & What to Expect

Shock and awe, devotees! The Haikyu fad is still going strong. A total of four seasons of the TV anime have concluded the story, but the studio is planning a comeback with new films. Even after discovering that Production I.G. intends to return with not one but two Haikyu Final anime films, you will be astonished. You did correctly read that. The good news was announced today via the manga’s official Twitter account.

Let’s investigate this further. Get the inside scoop on the upcoming instalment of the series right here! Haruichi Furudate is the creator of both the text and the illustrations for Haikyu. The serialisation began in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump in February 2012 and will continue until July 2022. 45 tankobon volumes have been released for the manga series thus far. The anime film finale to the Haikyu series will once again be created by Toho Animation. Nobody else on the team will be going back with Production I.G.

The Last Anime Film in the Series, Haikyu, Gets an Official Announcement
Today, encouraging news was shared on the official Twitter account for the Haikyu anime series. It showed that the TV anime adaptation of Haruichi Furudate’s manga series will keep delving deeper into the unknown universe. It was stated that two further anime films will be made to complete the plot. Other than that, the anime has just released the trailer and some images from the two movies. It looks ahead to the conclusion and how the next chapter will open.

Exactly What Is This Thing About?
The plot summary for the last Haikyu anime film has been removed from Crunchyroll. Film adaptations of Haruichi Furudate’s original Weekly Shonen Jump manga. Slice of life sports anime is the centre of this show. The story centres on Shoyo Hinata, a volleyball fanatic. After seeing several volleyball players on TV, he makes up his mind to try out for the squad.

Unfortunately, there isn’t a volleyball team at his school. In his final year of middle school, Hinata decides to form a team. Still, they’re all greenhorns. The King of the Court, Tobio Kageyama, has challenged the squad. Even with their best efforts, they fall short and end up losing the competition. After their crushing loss, Hinata made a promise to himself: he would locate Tobio on the volleyball team and beat him.

When Will the Last Anime Film Based on Haikyu Be Released?
The release date for the last Haikyu anime film was just announced by the official Twitter account. We may expect to see both movies in theatres in August of 2023. It’s a clue that production is already underway. As a result, the next films will likely have their Japanese debuts in early August and their global debuts in late 2023.
