Saw Gerrera Returns to the Tension-Filled Galaxy in the New ‘Andor’ Trailer: Cast, Synopsis, Release Date & Everything you need to know

Only a few weeks remain till Andor opens, and Lucasfilm has now released a new teaser to whet fans’ appetites for the tumultuous world of Cassian Andor (Diego Luna), who lives at the birth of Imperial tyranny. Fans are a taste of what to anticipate from the new series at the Star Wars Celebration by watching the first soul-stirring teaser, which depicted the tension-filled beginnings of the rebellion. Rogue One’s Cassian Andor’s origins will also be explored in greater detail in Andor’s new film. As Luna appeared on Good Morning America to announce a three-episode launch, a new teaser for the show was released.

For the 1st time in the series’ prior trailers, we get a glimpse of Saw Gerrera (Forest Whitaker), who looks to be conversing with Luthen (Stellan Skarsgrd) in the background. In addition to Luna and Whitaker, Genevieve O’Reilly will reprise her role as Mon Mothma in Andor, while Adria Arjona, Kyle Soller, Denise Gough, Fiona Shaw, and Robert Emms will portray new characters in the chaotic galaxy on both sides of the fight.

While Andor will centre on Cassian’s awareness that he can transform the galaxy, it will also portray both the rebels and the Empire as they battle at this key juncture in history.
Tony Gilroy, who was hired when Stephen Schiff left before filming began, is in charge of Andor. Dan Gilroy and Beau Willimon, as well as Gilroy’s brother, serve as co-writers on the series. Toby Haynes, Ben Caron, and Susanna White will helm the first season’s 12 episodes.

After its premiere, it was revealed that Andor would be running for two seasons and that the second season will begin production later this year. Disney+ has decided to delay the release of the series until September in order to accommodate a three-episode run, which was announced during Luna’s visit on the morning chat programme. On September 21, Andor will launch exclusively on Disney+.
