As the success of Thor: Love and Thunder at the box office wane, speculation turns to the streaming service’s upcoming release. Thor 4’s release date is expected to be on Disney+, which we’ll discuss in more detail below. When can we expect to see Thor: Love and Thunder on Disney Plus?
We’ve done our best to anticipate when Thor: Love and Thunder will be available on Disney Plus, but we don’t yet have an official release date. As a comparison, Eternals launched on Netflix 70 days after its premiere in theatres, while Black Widow debuted on the streaming service 90 days after its release in theatres (albeit it was simultaneously accessible on Disney Plus for a $30 charge). Only 48 days after it premiered on the big screen Dr Strange in the Multiverse of Madness made its debut on Disney Plus. Day 48 also saw the debut of Pixar’s Lightyear.
There appears to be a trend emerging. The 48-90-day trend gives us a wide open field, although it does narrow things down a bit. It would take 48 days from the release of Thor: Love and Thunder on July 7 to get to the expected release date of August 24. It’s 90 days after July 7th that October 5th comes around. The film is expected to come on Disney Plus in late August or early September.
