The release date of the Hogwarts Legacy Companion might be shortened

A new Hogwarts Legacy companion book’s late 2022 release date might help reduce the action RPG’s delivery timeframe. Hogwarts Legacy’s release date, which was originally scheduled for 2021, is still up in the air. To put it simply, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment says the Harry Potter-themed adventure will be available digitally and physically sometime in the coming year, despite recent speculations to the contrary. In a recent line of tweets, WarnerMedia CEO Jason Kilar reaffirmed the 2022 launch date and also said that the long-awaited Gotham Knights will still debut this year.

The Hogwarts Legacy rumours became a little more complicated in late January when an industry insider knew for reporting on Quantic Dream’s Detroit: Become Human game added another twist. Harry Potter’s Wizarding World will open to the public on September 1, 2022, if the leak is accurate. This would coincide with the opening of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry on September 1, each year, in the Harry Potter world. Hogwarts Legacy’s mysterious release date may really occur in the second half of 2022, according to fresh information.

As reported by The Rowling Library (via CBR), the companion book The Art and Making of Hogwarts Legacy will be published on September 6 of this year. Hogwarts Legacy is expected to appear in September, and the companion tome’s September release date might lend validity to this assertion. It’s worth mentioning that the publishing date of a companion book may not coincide with the release date of its game. The World of Cyberpunk 2077 debuted in July of 2020, five months before the RPG was scheduled to publish in December of that year.

There is a chance that The Art and Making of Hogwarts Legacy will be released early if Hogwarts Legacy continues to face difficulties. Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment revealed Hogwarts Legacy during Sony’s PS5 unveiling in September 2020, following years of rumours, leaks, and conjecture. After previously leading the charge on movie tie-in adventures and all three Disney Infinity experiences, Salt Lake City-based Avalanche Software is now in charge of this project.

Indeed, Hogwarts Legacy takes set in the 19th century, long before Harry Potter and his pals were born; consequently, players may expect to construct their own magical characters in the game. Character creation and other role-playing methods are unknown at this time. However, if a launch in 2022 is still on the table, more information should surface in the following months.
