Chapter 357 of Black Clover will finally bring readers the much-anticipated showdown between Yuno and Lucius. A bit more time will be needed, unfortunately. The Magic Knights had a tough time with the angel creatures in the last episode, and Yuno’s superhuman strength was put to the test.

In the prior chapter, Lucius praised Yuno’s strength before warning him that he would need even more might to overcome him. The angelic creatures were attacked by Magic Knights, yet their attacks did not harm them. The angels’ incredible display of strength stunned onlookers. Morris arrived and remarked that it was reasonable of Lucius to turn the rebels into protectors of the planet. En expressed fear and said that not even Magic Knights or Nobles’ abilities would help against the foe. But then he had a change of heart and said they had to fight and protect the people no matter how hopeless the situation was. Sol then showed up to one of her Golems and assaulted one of the angels guarding it. Unexpectedly, her Golem successfully deflected the angel’s strike. Bell said that it was due to the strength of affection. Bell said that she and Yuno could slow the passage of time and magic to weaken their foes.
As all was going on, Yuno was getting ready to launch his Star X Wind Spirit Magic: Never-Neverland assault. After seeing Yuno’s growth in power, Klaus remarked that he now has the qualities necessary to become a Wizard King. It appeared that Yuno was the driving force for everyone’s attack on the angel. Lucius, on the other hand, imprisoned Yuno in a Time Magic sphere that may hasten his ageing. Yet he freed himself from the orb and observed that in Neverland, “time stands still.” Surprised, Lucius remarked that Yuno must have designed his magic to challenge him and named Yuno as his adversary. Yet when Yuno was asked about Asta, he said that Asta already had a competitor and that Lucius was not that adversary. Towards the end of the chapter, Yuno launched a Spirit of Zephyr assault against Lucius.
