Recap of Tokyo Revengers Season 2 Episode 3
Since Taiju Shiba ordered his younger brother Hakkai to kill Takemichi with a beating, he is in a tight spot. Hakkai tries to argue with Taiju by saying that Takemichi doesn’t realise he’s in Black Dragon territory. When it comes to Hakkai’s justifications for Takemichi’s error, though, Taiju doesn’t give a hoot. Taiju strikes Yuzuha across the face as she attempts to intervene between her siblings and her boyfriend. Taiju criticises Yuzuha for failing to teach Hakkai to obey his instructions while raising him. When Taiju hits his sister, Takemichi steps in and scolds him for his behaviour. So, Taiju kills Takemichi, and Hina steps in to stop it.
Hakkai then proposes that, in order to spare Takemichi’s life, he join the Black Dragon Gang and turn his back on Toman.
Takemichi wakes up later, and he and Hakkai discuss how sorry they are to have left Toman. Hakkai told him he had to leave Toman to deal with Taiju’s group, and that he would go eventually. Takemichi now knows that Taiju, the future 11th head of the Black Dragon Gang, will be murdered by Hakkai. Takemichi, at his house, considers what he can do to prevent the Black Dragon from tainting Toman in the future. He needs to either stop Hakkai from killing Taiju or battle the Black Dragon Gang to put an end to them. Takemichi’s room was full of his pals, including Chifuyu, and they were all gossiping about the Black Dragon Gang. While playing cards, they discussed his recent misfortune. In light of Toman’s recent promotion to first-team captain, Taiju’s knockout of Takemichi must have felt like a deep slap.
The higher-ups won’t let this slide, so expect Toman and the Black Dragon gang to square off. If this is true, Toman is in deep peril; the Black Dragon Gang, led by Taiju Shiba, is not to be trifled with. Chifuyu claims that all members of the 10th generation Black Dragon Gang, and especially the murder squad, are psychos, making them the most deadly governing gang in the Kanto area. Even though Toman was able to free Kazutora Hanemiya from the Black Dragon Gang’s ninth generation by defeating them, things will be different now that Taiju is the gang’s leader. Taiju Shiba, in contrast to the ninth generation, profits off selling violence. His affluent connections allowed him to refund the Black Dragon Gang.
That’s why Takemichi won’t drag Toman into his grudge match with the Black Dragon Gang, but Chifuyu wants to have a talk with him on the bike. Chifuyu tells Takemichi that Baji would want him to take it easy and not worry too much about Toman, so that’s what he should do.
Takemichi decides on the spot to reveal his future origin. Chifuyu reacted very calmly to Takemichi’s confession. Instead, he praised Takemichi as a hero for having battled on his own to save Toman, his comrades, and his girlfriend. To ensure that Kisaki doesn’t end up killing both of them, Chifuyu also resolves to go to extreme lengths with Takemichi. As Takemichi’s partner and second-in-command, he is in favour of the latter’s idea to form a new first division in Toman. The topic of what happened to Takemichi and the Black Dragon Gang is brought up by Draken at Toman’s officer meeting. The defeat of Takemichi only solidifies the Black Dragon Gang’s position that they will be at war with Toman. Hakkai immediately gets down on his knees to beg Mikey for permission to leave Toman after hearing about what transpired between Takemitchi and Taiju. Only Takemichi, of all the officers, turned down Hakkai’s offer.
It is in Takemichi and Chifuyu’s best interest for Hakkai to remain in Toman, should the worst-case scenario play out. In an effort to smooth things up, Takemichi offers Mikey a dorayaki instead of hastily accepting Hakkai’s resignation. Needless to say, Mikey and Drakken were even more frustrated by the outcome. At the end of the episode, Mitsuya breaks the news to Hakkai that Mikey has decided not to accept his resignation.

Season 2 Episode 3 Recap: Tokyo Revengers
When Taiju tells Hakkai to kill Takemichi in the previous episode, he says it’s not Takemichi’s fault and that he doesn’t realise this is Black Dragon territory. Taiju knows this yet keeps beating him anyhow. When Yuzuha cuts him off, he slaps her and blames her for everything that’s happened. Takemichi afterwards straightens up and warns Taiju not to beat Yuzuha, explaining that she is not simply a female, but also her own sister. It’s a family affair, Taiju tells Takemichi, therefore he shouldn’t get involved. When he begins pounding him once again, Hinata steps in to stop him. Takemichi shields her from Taiju’s strike by standing in the way. The next thing we know, Hakkai is pleading with Taiju to stop hitting him, but Taiju insists that in exchange for everything he takes from someone, he must first give something to them. Hakkai continues by saying that he will desert the Toman and join Black Dragon if he abandons Takemichi.
Taiji nods and walks away from Takemichi, pleased with the arrangement. The scene shifts to Hakkai carrying Takemichi. Takemichi apologises to Hakkai, believing that Hakkai joined the Black Dragon and abandoned Toman out of fear for his safety. Hakkai then praises him for defending her sister from Taiju, and admits that he had already decided to leave Toman before this event. Hakkai tells him that he’s joining Black Dragon to stop the gang. For those who are keeping score at home, Hakki’s “something” here refers to the known facts concerning the Black Dragon’s fate. We know this because, in the future, Hakkai is known to have murdered his own brother, Taiju, who was a member of the Black Dragon. In the event that relations between Taiju and Hakkai remain as they are, Takemichi’s worst nightmare will come true.
About the Fourth Episode
Do you anticipate Episode 4 of Season 2 of Tokyo Revengers? The most recent Tokyo Revengers episode was both the wildest and most significant event in a long time. It was revealed that shortly after the meeting, Takemichi and Hinata travelled to Hakkai, where they were immediately encircled by Koko, Inupi, and a few other Black Dragon members. Moreover, we noticed that they had claimed much of the landscape around them as their own. Hakkai is Takemichi’s older brother, yet he still manages to shield Takemichi, Hinata, and the others from his own brother’s Black Dragon gang. If you don’t already know, his sibling Taiju Shiba is the tenth Black Dragon Leader. We later learned that Hakkai and Hinata stood by helplessly while Taiju brutally thrashed Takemichi. Hinata intervenes to stop him from beating up our guy.
Season 2, Episode 4 Spoilers for Tokyo Revenge
After promising Taiju that he would abandon Toman in order to aid Takemichi, Hakkai ultimately decides to join Black Dragon. Toman’s Division 2 Captain Takashi, who has known Hakkai since they were kids and who is also Division 2’s Voice Captain, meeting Taiju was a major no-no. The scene shifts to the park, where Hakkai can be seen brutally hitting a man. Then, out of the blue, Taka Chan reveals that he is cradling his younger brother, a newborn. Instead of beating the child up, Takashi stops him and teaches him that violence is never justified unless it’s used to defend someone else’s life. In this interview, Hakkai admits that he has never met Takashi before. After then, in the meeting scene, we see Takashi, Koko, Inupi, and Inupi standing behind Taiju, together with Chibuyu, Takemichi, and Hakkai. Soon after, Takashi tells Taiju that he would give Hakkai back to him if he frees Yuzuha.
