What can we anticipate from Blue Lock 214?
The resumption of the battle between Germany’s Bastard Munchen and Italy’s Ubers is set to occur in Blue Lock chapter 214, titled Work! Isagi has shown off his lefty stroke and plans to use it to his advantage in this match. With his newfound ability to mislead everyone around him, Isagi is sure to intimidate opponents. They simply cannot predict with which foot he will score. Instead, the chapter may centre on the likes of Kunigami, Racihi, Hiori, etc., from Bastard Munchen.
Blue Lock Chapter 213: A Recap
In Blue Lock chapter 213, titled E-4 (Egoist Four), Isagi went to Kunigami because he was dissatisfied with his right-foot-only shooting ability with his Direct Shot weapon. As a result, Isagi sought Kunigami’s counsel on becoming ambidextrous, seeing as how the latter had accomplished this feat through the Wildcard training. Isagi asked Kunigami to help him balance, but Kunigami immediately said no since doing so would ruin Isagi’s game. A short while later, Chigiri and Bachira showed up in Deutsch Stratu and competed in a 2-on-2 bout. This encounter enlightened Isagi to the fact that he need not train himself to be ambidextrous, but rather to develop his left foot into a formidable secondary weapon.
Spoilers and Raw Scans for Chapter 214
Snuffy’s football philosophy was previously unknown to readers of the Blue Lock series until the spoilers for Chapter 214 were released. Due to the team’s rigorous playstyle, it may appear simple and lack innovation, yet it is efficient in seizing control of the game. Obviously, Isagi was unable to correctly predict Ubers’ strategy. Isagi wanted to become ambidextrous and sought Kunigami’s guidance on the matter in the previous chapter, but Kunigami warned him against trying it since it would ruin his playstyle. The four egoists then played a 2-on-2 match once Chigiri and Bachira arrived at the German stratum.
Uber’s strategies are revealed in Blue Lock Chapter 214 spoilers. When Isagi scored the game’s first goal with his left foot, the action in Blue Lock chapter 214, titled Work, picked back up. Isagi fooled Aiku into thinking he was overmatched because he could use either hand to shoot, but Lorenzo saw through the ruse and called him out on it. Lorenzo encouraged his friends after a chat with Isagi, and they quickly set to work. Ubers were in control of the ball as play restarted, but neither Lorenzo nor Ubers was pressing the issue. Isagi hoped that he might use his sight to evade their strikes. Nonetheless, Isagi had a hard time picking off Ubers because of their methodical buildup. His attention shifted to Barou, whose actions may trigger the Ubers’ attack.
Spoilers for Blue Lock chapter 214 show a flashback to the beginning of the Neo-Egoist League in Italy’s Stratum Chamber. Master Snuffy of Ubers made the rounds of the stratum, introducing himself to the Blue Lock and U-20 players and asking them about their thoughts on the sport of football. All of the participants felt very strongly that it was important enough to risk death. Snuffy, though, had a different worldview and wasn’t convinced by their explanations. Although he saw nothing wrong with their dedication to the game, he warned that one bad break may end their careers. Thus, he told the team to treat football like a job. He instructed his team to imagine Ubers as a business, themselves as workers, and the games as tasks. Snuffy studied the information on each player and developed many strategies. He urged his team to watch these players closely and model their performance after theirs. The team shouldn’t be concerned if the strategies end up failing because that would be his fault as manager.
The Blue Lock and U-20 Japan players were intrigued to incorporate Snuffy’s beliefs into their daily routine at Ubers after learning about it in chapter 214 of Blue Lock. In chapter 214 of Blue Lock, the game was once again front and centre as Isagi attempted to take the ball from Ubers and became aware of Barou’s activities. As Sendo attempted to transfer the ball to Barou while being marked by Birkenstock, Isagi was able to steal the ball from Barou. When Isagi readied to launch a counterattack, three Ubers players closed in on him, and Barou called for ball retrieval. Isagi was unable to activate his meta-vision in time to prevent Niko from scoring after he had lost possession of the ball due to the advancing Ubers players. Isagi could only stare at Niko in shock. Isagi couldn’t believe that Ubers’ sluggish pace while attacking, high-press when they lose the ball, and counter-attacks when they regain possession were all part of their strategy. Spoilers for Blue Lock chapter 214 show that Ubers was structured differently from Bastard Munchen, with each member working together to achieve their goals. However, Bastard Munchen’s match tactics and game plans were shot to hell since numerous players were solely interested in scoring for themselves.
