The popularity of anime adaptations of manhwa like Noblesse and Tower of God has made manhwa adaptations like The God of High School fashionable in the industry. South Korean filmmaker Sunghoo Park oversaw the production of MAPPA studios’ hero story revolving around protagonist Mori Jin. The story concludes with Mori forgetting his past as a God, and Mira and Daewi resolving to find the Monkey King to help him recover his past. The Jin Taejin narrative from the manhwa is scheduled to be continued in the upcoming season, which was left on a cliffhanger.
