The manga and anime series Jujutsu Kaisen follows the exploits of a high school student called Yuji as he teams up with a band of sorcerers to vanquish a deadly curse known as Ryomen Sukuna. Since 2018, the manga has been published in Weekly Shonen Jump and has subsequently been turned into an anime series and a movie. Chapter 216 of the Jujutsu Kaisen manga centres on Sukuna, and it features a change of setting and the appearance of a character who was previously thought to be dead. Chapter 216 of Jujutsu Kaisen is the first time that Kenjaku and Sukuna met in the contemporary period, and it also introduces a ceremony. Megumi, on the other hand, remains in a hopeless situation. Readers are likely to be conflicted and eager to find out what happens next after finishing this chapter. Sukuna, Yuji, and Maki fought in the last chapter of Jujutsu Kaisen, but Sukuna ultimately prevailed because of his superior strength. After a while, he departed to get ready for something crucial. According to Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 216 teasers, Sukuna may have finished a ritual.
According to the chapter’s preview, Uraume and Kenjaku, dressed in traditional ceremonial robes, wait near the Zen’in underground rooms at the beginning of Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 216, which is named Bath. Unfortunately for our heroes, Sukuna completes the rite in this chapter by emerging from the bath. Sukuna completes the procedure in a matter of days or hours, despite the fact that it is supposed to take 10 months and 10 days. Megumi’s friends would have arrived to save him if the ceremony had taken any longer. Sukuna visits the Sendai colony, where she encounters Uro Takako and Ryu Ishigori later in the chapter. Before the King of Curses makes his physical appearance, both Ryu and Uro feel his presence. After quickly killing Ryu and Uro, Sukuna travels to a different complex at an unspecified location to face Yorozu. Spoilers for Chapter 216 of Jujutsu Kaisen show that Yorozu comes from the Aizu region and imply that she harboured unrequited affection for Sukuna.
Spoilers for Chapter 216 of Jujutsu Kaisen indicate that Megumi will continue to endure pain and that his prospects of survival are diminishing. It’s not clear if Megumi’s supporters have given up on him or whether they utilised a different approach to the ceremony to abbreviate its time. The chapter also shocks readers by confirming that Uro Takako is still alive, contrary to popular belief. Yuta did not murder her, and it is unclear at this time what part she will play in the plot.

Latest Spoilers for Chapter 216
On Thursday, March 9, 2023, a scanlated version of the newest chapter of Jujutsu Kaisen was made available to the public. Sukuna’s bath, which is based on a real-life Chinese pharmacy tradition, was completed in Chapter 216, and readers watched in terror. Readers also found out that Sukuna’s new vessel, Megumi Fushiguro, was the major target of the long-awaited bath since he wanted to exert near-total control over her. The current edition of Jujutsu Kaisen also reveals what Sukuna plans to use as the final nail in Megumi’s spiritual coffin.
Quickly reviewing the preceding chapter
Beginning in this chapter of Jujutsu Kaisen, Kenjaku, Uraume, and Sukuna have returned to the Zenin Clan’s main stronghold. Before discussing his fascination with Sukuna’s bath, the former admits that he wants to end the Culling Game so he can merge with Tengen. He explains that the bath was initially intended to make valuable family relics impenetrable to outsiders by transforming them into Cursed Tools. Grinding and squeezing organisms selected in a Kodoku ceremony is said to produce a solution of Cursed Energy, according to Kenjaku. Kodoku is a traditional Chinese procedure in which poison is created from the survivors of a jar containing many dangerous insects. Kenjaku then figures out that Uraume summoned Cursed Spirits for the ceremony, which prompts Uraume to reveal how she obtained their organs and other bodily structures for use in the ritual.
Chapter 216 of Jujutsu Kaisen explains that the bath is meant to plunge Megumi Fushiguro’s spirit even further into the abyss. Then Sukuna comes out of the toilet and inquires about Tsumiki Fushiguro, prompting Kenjaku to bring up the fact that Yorozu has always had a unilateral crush on Sukuna. Then Megumi explains that his vessel, not Yorozu, is what he really needs. Sukuna aims to kill Tsumiki Fushiguro so that he can inhabit his body and fully absorb Megumi within him. The two then travel to Sendai Colony, where Kenjaku kills Ryu Ishigori in a quick duel and Sukuna confronts Yorozu. As the narrative closes, the two people who seem to be old friends finally meet one other.
With the loss of a loved one, Sukuna intends to stifle Megumi’s soul. Sukuna implies in the most recent Jujutsu Kaisen chapter that he wants to murder Tsumiki Fushiguro using Megumi Fushiguro’s own hands so that Megumi would be effectively killed. More precisely, Sukuna wants Megumi’s soul to fall so deep into the abyss of death that it can never reclaim power from Sukuna again. It’s important to note that Sukuna never says that Megumi will die outright, suggesting that his soul would continue to reside in their combined physical form after his death. Because murdering Megumi’s soul would cause injury to Sukuna’s new body or perhaps cause his own death, neither of which he would want, this is likely the case. That is to say, Sukuna is making every effort to get mastery over his new body as soon as possible. It’s possible that the information he’s disclosed in the past chapters of Jujutsu Kaisen about Megumi regulating his Cursed Energy output is a big factor in this choice.
Similarly, after their escape was ensured, Sukuna’s first words to Uraume were about the bath. Although this may be interpreted as a victory by some viewers in terms of keeping Megumi alive, this is not always the case. Sukuna’s willingness to stake his own life on this method suggests that Megumi’s soul is beyond redemption at this time, suggesting to the reader that the procedure has succeeded. If Sukuna actually does have Megumi kill Tsumiki Fushiguro, then this will have much more weight. It looks like Megumi’s future is bleak even if the upcoming Jujutsu Kaisen chapters prove that this does not occur. Time is running short to save Megumi, as Satoru Gojo remains sealed and Yuta Okkotsu cannot be located.
