Chapter 78 of Boruto: A Recap
Shikamaru learns in Boruto chapter 78 that Naruto and Hinata’s chakra disappeared from their house, whereas Kawaki’s chakra was registered. As Eida verified Kawaki’s behaviour, the entire community became alarmed. Once Eida confirmed through her Senrigan that Kawaki intended to kill Boruto once again, Boruto hurried out to locate him. Meanwhile, Sarada found out from Shikamaru why he killed Boruto and that Kawaki was responsible. The following scene shows Boruto confronting Kawaki, who admits to using a jutsu to transport Naruto and Hinata to a location where time stands still. Sarada tried to break up the fight between the two, but Kawaki was too powerful for her. Unfortunately, Boruto acquired a scar above his right eye when he dove in after her. Even more astonished were Konohamaru, Shikamaru, Mitsuki, and Sasuke when they arrived to put an end to Kawaki, only to find that Momoshiki had taken over Boruto’s body and spared Kawaki. Momoshiki also warned Boruto that the loss of his blue eye marked the beginning of his misfortune. The villain’s prophecy is coming true, and the time jump is drawing near.
On Sunday, March 19, 2023, at 12 am JST, the next chapter of Boruto will be released. The next episode of the Boruto manga may feature the fallout from Kawaki’s commotion, which would be a great development. In addition, the time jump teased in the manga’s prologue appears to be arriving sooner rather than later. The events of the previous episode stunned fans of the series, as Kawaki went to extraordinary lengths to defend Naruto. Yet, Kawaki’s actions might have severe repercussions.

Speculations for Boruto chapter 79
Chapter 79 of Boruto has been out, and it’s a doozy of a chapter packed with twists and turns. Once Kawaki manages to avoid being cut by Sasuke while trying to flee the village, he will presumably be the chapter’s main focus. The government of Konoha could now label Kawaki as a renegade ninja. The blond protagonist’s dream might come true in Boruto chapter 79. The protagonist got a vision through his Jougan in chapter 75, titled “The realm of God,” in which Mistuki, Sarada, and Shikadai’s crew surround Kawaki, who is in Isshiki mode. As Mitsuki was just seen in his sage form, his newly found sense of agency may be addressed in the upcoming chapter. Other than that, it’s unclear if the blond protagonist will be able to master his Jougan. Furthermore, it’s possible that he permanently awakens Jougan in chapter 79 of Boruto.
