Spoilers for “My Hero Academia” Chapter 382 suggest that after cloning Dabi, All for One, and Shigaraki, Toga’s eccentricities would be severely constrained. Hawks and AFO know that Toga can immediately alter the course of the battle if she utilises all of her power, but do they have faith that she will? Spoilers for “My Hero Academia” Chapter 382 suggest that the clones Toga created were unable to make use of any of the heroes’ unique abilities. So, what causes that to occur? A copy of Shigaraki without his decay quirk is useless. The truth is eventually exposed, showing that Toga had already put a stop to the conflict from the get-go by assuming the identities of other villains.
Her clone, made possible by Twice’s quirk, later reveals that she can only exploit the quirks of the people she cares about. So, the villain clones she made lacked the ability to employ any of the characteristics that made the originals so dangerous.
As Toga realises she will never be as good as Twice, she breaks down in tears. In Chapter 382 of “My Hero Academia,” despite the fact that she is well aware of the situation, she insists that she can alter it. The heroes try to cheer up Tokoyami by showing their support, but it doesn’t work. With an explosion, AFO forces Dark Shadow to retreat. And with that, he takes on the air, announcing that Gigantomachia is just around the corner. Machia is told to destroy the heroes, but when he sees Shinsou and Kirishima riding on his back and manipulating his quirk and persona cords, he throws a mountain at him instead. As seen in “My Hero Academia” Chapter 382, even though Toga claims to love Dabi and Shigaraki, she seems to need to feel a specific way about them before she can exploit their eccentricities through their clones. Unfortunately, she has not progressed to that point yet.
In the meanwhile, the Shiketsu Hight students and graduates joined the Gunga battleground in “My Hero Academia” Chapter 381. They were important in keeping the clones of Twice that Toga had created under control. Instead of sending their greatest warriors to face AFO head-on, the heroes shifted tactics and instead used their numbers to overwhelm him. Several of the heroes were killed because AFO took advantage of the situation by merging many of his eccentricities into a massive explosion. In the end, he made fun of his rivals by claiming they were hopeless without All Might. Also, he said the youthful heroes weren’t powerful enough since they hadn’t lived long enough. He went on to say that they were underestimating his strength. Inasa refuted AFO’s allegations, saying that his people had learnt everything there was to know about him through their study of history, and then he blew wind in AFO’s face.
Unfortunately, that simply served to hasten AFO’s inevitable demise. Tokoyami lifted him up with a large Dark Shadow, which appeared to frighten AFO enough to cause him to crash to the ground after a failed attempt to evade. We’ll find out what happens next when Chapter 382 of “My Hero Academia” is released on March 5.
