Chapter 215 of Jujutsu Kaisen takes place in the Japanese prefecture of Harima. The events of Jujutsu Kaisen 215 were summarised for readers in great detail in the previous chapter summary. As we learned from the synopsis, Sukuna has said that Yuji resembles “that person” from Harima. He says this to Yuji with a sarcastic tone, leading fans to believe that the person he is mocking is someone from his past whom he does not hold in particularly high esteem. Most Twitter users have deduced that Sukuna was referring to Yuji’s family tree, which appears to go back to the Heian period, in his enigmatic post.
One Twitter user tried to shed light on the riddle by proposing the idea that Sukuna had seen Yuji’s image before, perhaps in another time and place. Sukuna’s reference to the Japanese province of Harima suggests that a member of Yuji’s family tree who was skilled in cursed tactics called that area home. It must be stressed that this notion has not yet been supported by evidence. Yet considering Sukuna’s history and his encounter with the Heian Age sorcerers, it’s plausible that he’s already met someone from Yuji Itadori’s family tree. Notwithstanding Sukuna’s mysterious message, the next events of chapter 215 of Jujutsu Kaisen will have Maki fighting alongside Yuji. Tag-teaming Sukuna, the Lord of Curses, the two coordinate their assaults for maximum impact. Tossed aside since he poses less of a threat than Maki in the battle, Yuji. Sukuna realises that Megumi’s body would reject him throughout their struggle, so he dials down his attacks. He then casts a new magic called “Spider’s Thread,” which wipes out Maki and Yuji’s landing. Sukuna takes this opportunity to punch Maki square in the face. She doesn’t appear to be phased by this, though. Uraume unleashes the cursed technique Maximum Output: FORST CALM, interrupting the three’s combat.
She froze both Yuji and Maki but later told Sukuna that Yuji’s ice had been lessened in case he was required as a vessel. Yuji calls out to Sukuna as he emerges from the ice, just as Sukuna and Uraume are ready to leave for Nue. Sukuna, upon catching a glimpse of Yuji’s expression, likens him to “that guy from Harima” and finds the whole thing to be hilarious. Several intriguing details have been exposed thanks to chapter spoilers, while new mysteries have been introduced for readers to enjoy. Tuesday, February 28th saw the publication of raw scans and spoilers for Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 215, revealing a huge development in the epic battle between Yuji and Sukuna. Inside, viewers supposedly witnessed Maki Zenin enter the fight, making Yuji and Maki Zenin a formidable force that briefly overpowered Sukuna. But everything changed with the introduction of a new Cursed Technique from Sukuna in Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 215, and the following appearance of one of the mysterious Uraume. In addition, followers have been wondering how Sukuna’s latest Cursed Technique operates and what uses it may have. A concise summary of spoilers
Raw scans and purported spoilers for Jujutsu Kaisen 215 state that the first scene in the issue involves a large fish curse floating over the city. After that, Kenjaku is shown giving Uraume a ride in what appears to be a rush. Yuji delivers a blow on Sukuna, who is praying that the percentage of his Cursed Energy production that it decreases by doesn’t go below 10%. As he detects Maki and realises that Nue hasn’t hurt her, the latter remarks that everything requires polishing, including vessels. Afterwards, Maki joins forces with Yuji, and the two momentarily outnumber Sukuna. But he says that Yuji is very uninteresting in the battle, and that’s what makes Maki rush Sukuna seemingly by himself. Sukuna, however, is able to block this strike since it is a combination blow from the two attackers. From this, he learns that killing Megumi’s allies will cause her body to reject him, hence decreasing the amount of Cursed Energy he can generate.
Sukuna breaks the earth apart with a new Cursed Technique called Spider’s Thread, thereby preventing Yuji and Maki’s attack. He then punches Maki, but she seems oblivious to the blow. Uraume, however, is said to make an appearance in Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 215 employing a Cursed Technique called Ice Calm. In her apology to Sukuna, she says she took it easy on Yuji and hopes that she didn’t cross any boundaries by offering assistance. Sukuna claims he no longer has feelings for Yuji, and he commends Uraume for being excessive with Maki. Calling Nue, he gives the command for his bath to be finished, at which point Uraume reveals that it is in fact already done. Yuji emerges through the ice and yells at Sukuna as the two walk away. The two are unable to stop themselves from taking off, and they make some remarks about how pitiful Yuji is while they leave, implying that he reminds them of someone from Harima’s past.
How Sukuna’s New Cursed Moves Work
Supposed raw scans for Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 215 show that Sukuna introduces a new Cursed Technique named Spider’s Thread. Inside, he uses it to make the floor fall from under where he, Maki, and Yuji are fighting. It appears like the ground is cracking apart in a spider web pattern, indicating that the Cursed Energy will indeed radiate in this form. This appears to be the principal application of the Technique since it allows for a quick exit or interruption of combat for one’s adversaries. Moreover, the devastation appears to conform to the form of the Cursed Technique, allowing it to be directed at specific locations as opposed to having a more systemic impact.
It is possible that this technique, which is not demonstrated in chapter 215 of Jujutsu Kaisen, can also be used offensively. It is safe to infer that if Sukuna were to utilise this method on a living being, rather than an inanimate item, the energy would first engulf the body of the target before being activated. After being set into motion, Cursed Energy would assault the sorcerer’s entire body. The usage of Spider’s Thread to shut down Domain Growth is also possible. Sukuna may break through the defences of a Domain by focusing the Cursed Energy she generates on the Domain’s walls. Even if Domains are impenetrable from the inside out, using Cursed Energy in this way would be enough to open a door.
