The publication of Chapter 1077 of One Piece has been much anticipated. Several intriguing narrative threads were left hanging at the end of the last chapter, and readers are anxious to find out what happens next. Two battles will be taking place in this chapter: one between the Red Hair Pirates and the Child Pirates on Elbaf Island, and another between the two groups on Egghead Island. The seraph S-Hawk launched an attack in the previous chapter using the Dice Dice fruit’s incredible strength. The idea of setting free Cipher Pol 0’s Kaku and Rob Lucci crossed Luffy and Zoro’s minds. Once they’ve defeated the four seraphim, Luffy and his crew decide to liberate Kaku and Lucci voluntarily in exchange for their promise not to attack his crew or the Vegapunks.
Even if he is entrusted with killing all of Dr Vegapunk’s satellites, Lucci agrees that he will murder Luffy first. It was up to Luffy, Zoro, Kaku, and Lucci to work together and defeat the seraphims in the next battle. Meanwhile, Dr Vegapunk and the other Cipher Pol operatives who had been cooped up in the lab emerged from hiding. No one on Egghead Island has eaten in two months, and the agents are demanding an explanation from Dr Vegapunk, who has no idea they exist. Because of this, Dr Vegapunk fears that the global government will crack down on their poneglyph studies on the island. Supposedly, at that time, there were over a hundred ships in the marine fleet making their way from branch G-9 towards Egghead Island.
Meanwhile, at a nearby port, Dorry and Brogy of the Giant Warrior Pirates are having a drink with Shanks and the Red-Hair Pirates. Having been ambushed by the Kid Pirates, one of Shanks’ men has arrived to report the situation to their leader. The Red Hair and the Child Pirates have both been spotted in Elbaf. In order to avoid a battle with Eustass Kid, Shanks told Rockstar to tell him that they must hand up the Road Poneglyph. The chapter finishes with Killer making a joke about Kid’s amputated limb, much to Kid’s displeasure. He also warns that if they encounter the Red Hair pirates again, Kid might not make it. Nevertheless, Kid reassured Killer that he should not worry, saying that he is confident in his ability to defeat Shanks.
One Piece Chapter 1077 will feature more of Shanks, and readers can’t wait. Yet it’s hardly probable that the chapter will begin with Shanks leading his own army, which includes giants, at the Kid pirates. It’s clear that Shanks doesn’t need the giants’ aid to defeat Kid; instead, he’s using them to coerce Kid into giving up his poneglyph and fleeing. Yet, he probably wasn’t terrified and backed off after seeing Kid’s reaction in the previous chapter. Whether or not this combat ends in Kid’s favour is anyone’s guess, but it will be interesting to see what strategies Oda employs when pitting the worst member of his age against an emperor for a 3 billion reward.
Fans, though, shouldn’t count on Oda to narrate this battle or to stage it on-screen. Law and Blackbeard are other examples of the worst generation battling against an emperor, and their conflict has yet to be concluded. For this reason, fans shouldn’t hold their breath for a showdown between Kid and Shanks any time soon, but we can always hope that Oda changes his mind. They should have no issue combating the seraphim now that Luffy and Zoro have joined forces with Lucci and Kaku. The events of Chapter 1077 of One Piece might involve a mad dash around the lab in an effort to halt the remaining two seraphim while also trying to recall how the first two were defeated. We still don’t know who the Vegapunk traitor is, but perhaps we’ll get some clues in One Piece Chapter 1077.
