In episode 8 of Tokyo Revengers season 2, titled “Strive Together,” Hakkai finally let Yuzuha in on his secret, revealing that she had been protecting him all along. Hakkai said he was only able to stop Taiju by killing him because he was defending Yuzuha. While they found Hakkai’s strategies pitiful, the Toman members stuck behind him anyway. This inspired Hakkai to take on Taiju, and the two engaged in combat. After then, Yuzuha’s past came into focus, detailing her attempts to save her family after making a promise to her mother to do so. Mikey got to the chapel as the battle between the Toman and the Black Dragon was winding down.
