Latest Updates

Chapter 381 of My Hero Academia will be available on February 27, 2023, at 12:01 a.m. JST. Since the pupils of Shiketsu High School arrived in the last chapter, readers are eagerly awaiting its publication. All eyes are now on them to see what role they play in the resistance against All For One. The confrontation between Midoria and Shigaraki, as well as the Shiketsu pupils, is something that fans are eagerly anticipating. New raw scan spoilers, however, have put the spotlight on Tokoyami, who may soon prove to be even more formidable than Todoroki and Bakugo.

Tokoyami’s Dark Shadow is fully realised in My Hero Academia Chapter 381
Tokoyami’s growth in strength might be showcased in the next chapter of My Hero Academia. His “Dark Shadow” quirk is highly effective in his hands. He employs it as a weapon, a shield, a means of rapid movement, and a lifesaver. Next episode, Tokoyami uses his whole darkness to defeat AFO. Tokoyami’s peculiarly black shadow cast a fearful look on AFO as he came closer. Then when Tokoyami attacks AFO, all AFO can think about is dodging it. In the next chapter, Tokoyami has the potential to become one of the most powerful heroes in Class 1-A. In the previous chapter, Tokoyami shattered AFO’s mask, and in the next chapter of My Hero Academia, he will make AFO frightened of his presence. If All Might is correct, then neither Dark Shadow nor the quirk that gives it its name, “Endeavor,” can be taken by just touching another person. If so, Tokoyami might become a formidable adversary for AFO.

Both Bakugo and Todoroki have proven themselves to be formidable fighters, but in the most recent chapter releases of My Hero Academia, only Tokoyami has been able to maintain his position when facing AFO. It’s worth noting, though, that the three of them have faced up against various villains and have distinct habits. As evidence, Tokoyami has repeatedly beaten Midoria, Todoroki, and Katsuki in head-to-head competitions, establishing himself as one of Class 1-A’s top pupils. Fans have watched him place ninth on the UA admission exam and third in the UA sports festival, both thanks to his talents.

Can Todoroki and Bakugo hold a candle to Tokoyami’s strength?
At the previous year’s My Hero Academia Sports Festival, we saw how Tokoyami was able to put a recommended student, Momo Yaoyorozu, on the defensive and beat her before she could mount a comeback. Izuku witnessed this and proclaimed Fumikage to be among the strongest individuals in one-on-one confrontations. Tokoyami eventually managed to stave off Katsuki’s advances.
When fighting against the Paranormal liberators, Tokoyami was able to push back Re-Destro, just as he had done at the sports festival. Black Abyss, in which Tokoyami casts a dark shadow around himself, is his go-to attack. The Covert Black-Ops Arms, Black Fallen Angel, Ragnarok, and other strikes are just the tip of the iceberg for his arsenal.

Tokoyami’s peculiarity is mostly determined by the interplay between day and night. When the sun is out, he’ll have an easier time keeping things under control. This isn’t all that determines the outcome; other factors come into play on the inside. According to Mezo, Tokoyami’s negative feelings give Dark Shadow additional strength and power, but at the expense of Tokoyami’s loss of command. When he becomes angry, he says, Dark Shadow gets the best of him. Mangaka Horikoshi claims that Dark Shadow is more potent than even Bakugo and Todoroki’s quirks combined. If everyone helps Tokoyami perform at his highest level, the crowd could get to watch him defeat AFO. So, deciding who is stronger will be a hurried business. Perhaps the next several chapters of My Hero Academia will provide some answers. Yet, Tokoyami is one of the most powerful heroes, having beaten Midoriya, Todoroki, and Bakugo in the past. Even Midoriya admits that he would be a formidable foe in a direct confrontation with him.

Brief Review of Chapter 380 from My Hero Academia
Just where we left off in the previous episode, our hero Gentle is struggling to keep the floating UA aloft as he reveals that his quirk is ready to fail and the air trampoline he’s been using is going to collapse. Our wonderful showman acknowledges, with a sneer of determination, that with or without an audience, he would fight because it is the right thing to do, even if he is the first to realise that no one is filming his and everyone else’s brave deeds. Despite this, he still gives his best. He is urged to hold on by La Brava as she is almost finished recalibrating the floating structure’s engine. Yet in a twist of irony and a show of faith, right after having this thought, Gentle sees the Business course students abroad at UA, all of them have their phones out and are filming everything that is going on.

Gent’s heroism emerges unexpectedly, and he yells at the student to stop filming and go to safety since they are too near to the threat. A humble refusal of the limelight? Perhaps now you can see that he really is a new guy. But despite Gentle’s best efforts, the spotlight won’t stay off of him; not only are the business course students staying on record saying, how it is somewhat their fault for society falling because they didn’t build a good enough public image for the Heroes (which, I won’t lie, I really disagree with), given that these are just kids, & there were some pretty shitty heroes in the world before all of this. While continuing to record Gentle, they start explaining how fantastic it is that the villain they have in jail has chosen to aid the heroes. I can get behind that plot.

After recalibrating UA, the building begins to float on its own again, and La Brava tells the students in the business course that they are doing a fantastic job by live-streaming everything they are capturing to show off how incredible her Gentle is and how much the Heroes are battling. The heroes really needed La Brava at this moment, and they got it. As this was going on, however, Aizawa was assaulted by the Twice clones, and the others yelled that it was time to “kill the Heroes,” pushing Aizawa off the floating structure. As soon as Present Mic sees this, he leaps after his comrade in a desperate attempt to capture him, but before he can reach Aizawa, a still glitching Kurogiri comes and teleports the two Heroes away, and we have no idea where they went.

Kaminari, upon witnessing this, says, “It appears like Kurogiri prevented Aizawa and Present Mic from plunging to their deaths!” While this is true, Mandalay more prominently points out that with Aizawa going, they have lost his essential power Quirk Erasure! Before we can see more of this fated fight, the story cuts back to Gunga Mountain, where All For One, flying through the air, admits that he never planned to fuse his personal ninja with All For One’s ninja. Tomura’s initial aim was to assume full control of Shigaraki’s body forever; the two of them were fused since No One Expected Such Much Destruction From Him. Tomura’s passion for destruction was so strong that it ultimately triumphed over All For One’s resolve. All For One is unfazed by this setback; he states that all he has to do to make All For Oe’s dominion absolute is “have Tomuta’s body absorb the Quirk Factor on his original body” (his original body).

What you’re saying seems like a lot of work. My best guess is that if Tomura meets up with All For One, AFO will take command. All For One is on his way to UA to carry out this plot, but Hawks stops him and declares that he won’t allow the villain to escape and that he will fight All For One for the sake of the next generation. The Hawks then try to fool All For One by swinging their swords with their feathers to get him to drop his guard, but All For One is too agile for the Hero to avoid this assault. And in a very deadly and horrifying moment, Tokoyami, who shouts out as he observes this all-godown All For One, lets off a strict on the winged hero, obliterating Hawk’s body. To the Hawks, with love. That is until Flowers materialise around Hawk’s severed head, at which point he adopts the stereotypically sultry look we all associate with Camie’s illusions. Indeed, Shiketsu High School has joined the fray! Tokoyami’s response is reasonable given the circumstances. As it turns out, Shishikura, also known as Meatball, grabbed Hawks and pulled him out of the way barely seconds before our dear bird boy became a roast chicken, at the same time Camie produced an illusion of his body!! Hello, again, Hawks!

Camie’s words after they save Hawks are the inspiration for this chapter’s title: “Close Call for Reals.” I couldn’t figure out what made it so unusual. Shikua explains that they were directed to come here and fight after being tasked with safeguarding people, which is why they arrived so late to the combat. But, it’s better late than never, as the old adage goes. Following an explanation of their tardiness, Inasa, aka Windman, aka Former Endeavor Hater, uses his Quirk to summon all of the Twice clones into the air, where they congregate before shouting, “You thought the winds of fortune were blowing in your favour, but it is I who controls the winds!” to the assembled members of All For One.
