Black Clover chapter 351 raw scans and spoilers have shown why Asta should look up to Ryuya rather than Yami. Spoilers for Chapter 351 revealed more about Ryuya’s background, including their long-standing feud with Yosuga. Yuki Tabata revealed Ryudo Ryuya’s historical path to the shogunate of the Hino Land in the spoilers of Black Clover chapter 351. It also suggests that Asta and Ryuya share some comparable characteristics.
How could Ryuya be a better role model for Asta, Black Clover?
When Asta landed in the Hino Land (Chapter 337 of Black Clover), numerous signs pointed to Ryuya as the ideal person to lead Asta. Although if Ryuya doesn’t have any Yoryoku, the Ryuzen Seven and the inhabitants of the Hino Land still regard him as Shogun, as he said in that chapter of Black Clover. In Chapter 341, Ryuya begged the members of the Ryuzen Seven to help him train Asta to his full capacity before their approaching confrontation with Lucius. The seven Ryuzen would do everything for Ryuya, so when the Paladins launched a surprise attack on the Hino Land, they continued to train Asta to grow stronger.
As compared to Asta, why does Ryuya have more privileges as a guide?
Spoilers for Chapter 351 indicate that, in the past, only Ryuya and Yosuga possessed enough Yoryoku to acquire the All-Seeing Eye. The nation was saved because of Ryuya’s bravery. Ryuya continued to serve others following Yoryoku’s death, positioning himself as an ideal contender for the position of Shogun. Notably, Yosuga revealed at the conclusion of the raw scans for chapter 351 that Asta is of an aspirational height equivalent to that of Ryuya. Nevertheless, in chapter 341, Yami’s sister Ichika said that Ryuya preserves the nation with his Tengentsu, which allows him to observe everything happening in the current moment. This might indicate that Ryuya, although lacking Asta’s magical abilities, is nonetheless able to see Asta’s potential and help him develop his strength.
Weird Yami comparisons, why Ryuya?
Black Clover readers who have read the 337th chapter have likely noticed some similarities between Yami Sukehiro and Ryudo Ryuya. Asta’s childhood buddy Ryuya remarked that he and Asta had a similar Ki after learning about the connection between the two.
After Lucius’ failed attempt to kill Asta in chapter 335, Asta was found in the field and was subsequently returned to the Hino Country by Ryuya. Moreover, chapter 335 demonstrates how devastated and angry Yami became after hearing the news that Asta had passed away.
If you’re a fan of Black Clover, you may rest easy knowing that Ryuya will be a more patient and understanding mentor for Asta. Based on the raw scans of the final page of Chapter 351, it is clear that Ryuya is encouraging the Ryuzen seven by telling them he has faith in them and that they will not be beaten.
Even if Ryuya was Asta’s excellent mentor, that doesn’t mean Yami didn’t make a difference. Yami was the first of the Black Bulls to put his faith in Asta, and he quickly became one of their own. While Yami’s reputation precedes him as a ferocious and forceful leader, the Black Bulls adore him because of the leadership and affection he provides for the team.
