On February 21, 2023, at 12 p.m. JST, the next chapter of Blue Lock will be made available. The latest chapter, titled Two Pair, is available in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump Magazine and the MangaPlus app. In the last chapter, we were given a glimpse into Yo Hiori’s terrible past through a flashback. Hiori’s parents insisted he plays soccer despite the fact that he had no interest in doing so. The reasons he decided to enrol in the Blue Lock programme and work towards the position of starting striker for the team were revealed to the audience.
Blue Lock Chapter 207 will reveal whether or not Hiori has been training with Isagi, among other things.
Hiori battling his demons within
Hiori’s motivations for playing soccer were detailed in Blue Lock Chapter 206. He wasn’t only following his own dreams; he was also fulfilling the dreams of his parents, who were both talented athletes but ultimately fell short of the top level. Hiori learned from an early age that if he didn’t reach number one in the world, his parents would split up. The public saw that he was fulfilling his parents’ ideal rather than his own, and concluded that he must be sad. Karasu’s compliments on his soccer skills were followed by a comment about his lack of enthusiasm, thus it was clear that he was aware of this. Since Isagi invited Hiori to train with him at the end of Chapter 206, the next chapter may begin with a spark between the two protagonists. In spite of his egotism, Isagi has always been able to collaborate well with others and help them emerge from their shells. This was clear from the moment he met Chigiri. Maybe in chapter 207 of Blue Lock, Isagi will be there to support Hiori as he faces his demons.
The spotlight is also cast on other characters
Due to chapter 206’s interesting take on supporting characters, readers are eager to learn more about the other members of the Neo-Egoist League and how their stories will progress. The plot might shift its attention to another member of the Bastard Munchen squad besides Isagi and Hiori. Michael Kaiser’s work has been thrilling readers ever since his debut, and Kaneshiro may continue that trend.
Rensuke Kunigami may also be the topic of Blue Lock chapter 207. Even though he made it through the Wild Card, followers of Kunigami’s character aren’t happy with the new story because he hasn’t yet demonstrated his prowess on the field. This, however, may soon alter.
In the time following the First Selection, Jingo Raichi, a popular favourite, has mostly been relegated to the background. Raichi made it through the Second Selection, but he didn’t make the roster for the game against Japan’s U-20 squad. Since his dissatisfaction with his standing was revealed in chapter 205 of Blue Lock, readers have been anxiously awaiting his return. When your main character is voiced by Yoshitsugu Matsuoka, you know the plot is setting Raichi up for great success.
Despite Nagi’s spectacular goal, the rest of the team still lost against Isagi, and we may get to see how they feel about it. And following his stellar performance with the Ubers, we could also get Barou Shoei’s point of view. It’s possible that the much-anticipated rematch between Isagi and his nemesis, Itoshi Rin, will begin to unravel in Blue Lock chapter 207, with Bastard Munchen taking on PXG.
