Meanwhile, he had to defend himself against the most senior Shiba brother. We could also get to witness how Chifuyu deals with Hanma and Kisaki, who has already betrayed him.
Before This Episode, What Happened in Tokyo Revengers? (Recap)
Taiju was prepared to visit the temple, so Koko and Inupi were put in charge temporarily. Nevertheless, Yuzuha received a phone call from an unknown number. Chifuyu reflected on his time spent with Baji and the motivation he provided. Chifuyu didn’t look up to anyone on the squad but Baji, so Baji urged him to just listen to him. Takemichi is now in possession of Baji’s Batton, a symbol of the faith shown in him by Chifuyu in the present. Following this, Chifuyu, Takemichi, Hanma, and Kisaki go to the temple of worship. Upon arrival, Takemichi entered the chapel as the other three waited outside for Taiju. Takemichi talked to Hakkai, hoping to persuade him to change his mind about murdering his sibling. Hakkai refused to hear him out, so Takemichi told him that he and Hina had split up so that he could save her. Takemichi warned him against killing Taiju to spare his sister’s life.
Taiju burst inside the chapel, and Hanma sprang at him with a knife but missed. Takemichi found out that Hanma and Kisaki had turned against them. Then, Chifuyu is thrashed severely by the two, and he is tied off. During Takemichi’s confrontation with his younger brother, Taiju, Takemichi instructed him to release Hakkai. Finally, he went up to Takemichi and began beating the crap out of him.
To prevent Taiju from spilling Hakkai’s dirty laundry, Yuzuha, who had been hidden in the church, launched a surprise attack just as he was ready, to tell the truth. Eventually, it was revealed that Kisaki was the one to fill her in on the circumstances. Takemichi saw that in history as it was, Yuzuha, and not Hakkai, would end Taiju’s life. She had angered Taiju by attempting to kill her own brother, but Yuzuha said he had never regarded them to be his brothers and was only concerned with his own happiness. While sobbing about how unfair his circumstances were, he hit her hard in the face and made the decision to murder her.
