On Tuesday, February 21, 2023, at 12 a.m. JST, Dragon Ball Super Chapter 90 will be released in Japan. Manga readers may get the series in several places, including Viz Media’s official site, Shueisha’s MANGAPlus website, and the Shonen Jump+ app. Readers witnessed in chapter 89 that Trunks and Goten easily vanquished the enemy Android disguised as a student. The chapter was just the right mix of action, information, and comedic relief for the audience. In Chapter 90, when his Android has been vanquished, we will get to discover what Dr Hedo does next. Flying Nimbus’s return to the manga has been confirmed thanks to a huge spoiler that was shared on Twitter. In the early versions of Chapter 90, several major plot points were altered, including the return of Goten to the forefront, the introduction of Krillin, and more.
Spoilers for Dragon Ball Super Chapter 90: Some Readers Dislike the Manga’s “Slice of Life” Format
In the early versions of Dragon Ball Super chapter 90, Krillin is working as a police officer and witnesses a lady crying and running away from them. One of Dr Hedo’s Zombie androids’ eyeballs lies on the ground in the following panels. Krillin confronts the gang of zombie androids head-on and raises his weapon to fire. We then cut to Goten playing a video game while riding Flying Nimbus. Fans on Twitter were excited to witness the return of Flying Nimbus, who has appeared several times throughout the Dragon Ball series. Goku and his kids have utilised it often throughout the series so that they can travel at great speeds without expending much power.
In an alternative set of rough draughts, Goten is shown chatting with his companions on the bus when a female approaches him and asks him a question. Someone has blocked the bus’ path, and the vehicle has come to a crashing halt. Some fans have enjoyed the story’s slice-of-life style, while others have expressed displeasure with the panels on Twitter. As opposed to other famous manga like One Piece, which has chapters released every two weeks or even every week, this one has only been released once a month, and some fans have complained about this. Fans have also panned the tale for its slow pace, calling the adventures of Goten and Trunk boring fluff.
Some fans enjoy the slice-of-life style, but it doesn’t mesh well with Dragon Ball Super’s mode of epic battles with characters with multiverse-spanning abilities like Black Frieza, Goku, Vegeta, Beerus, and others. Some Dragon Ball fans have taken to Twitter to voice their displeasure with the new chapters, while others have expressed their anticipation. Some of these tweets have been hilarious, while others have been really annoying. In Chapter 90, Goten and Trunk will go on another adventure, and Krillin will likely take on foes like Dr Hedo and his androids. Goten, who has been ignored in recent chapters, will receive some much-deserved attention in this one. Seeing where Toyotarou takes the manga from here is exciting.
