Predictions from Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 214
Everyone reading this chapter of Jujutsu Kaisen is on the edge of their seat, wondering what the following chapter, #214, will bring. After the publication of Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 213, the series will be taking a hiatus until the end of this month, so fans will have to be patient until then. That is to say, on Monday, February 27th, 2023 at midnight JST, the thirteenth edition of the Weekly Shonen Jump 2023 Magazine will be issued, and inside it, Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 214.
Despite the delay, fans should use the time to discuss their predictions for how the story will progress in light of the incredible turn of events in the most recent chapters. The sole person who could break the seal and free Gojo is in Sukuna’s hands; who can now stop him? Many people in the colony, including Maki and Takaba, appear to be capable of taking on Sukuna head-on. Assuming Megumi is successful in summoning the aforementioned characters, especially Mahagora, they will have a hard time stopping him thanks to his mastery of the ten shadow methods.
And if events in the next chapter cause Hana to die, will Gojo return? With this crazy turn, Jujutsu Kaisen has both advanced the plot of the series and left numerous unanswered concerns. I can’t wait to find out what happens next with our protagonist. Will Yuji once again be given a front-row seat to the deaths of his closest companions and teacher? I enjoy how critical of his character Gege sensei is. Do you have any thoughts on how the Jujutsu Kaisen will progress in the following chapters? Summary and Raw Scans for Jutsu Kaisen Chapter 213
Chapter 213 of Jujutsu Kaisen is titled “Cursed Womb: Under Heaven, Part 5” and opens with a monologue from the notorious Sukuna. This speech not only explains why Sukuna killed Yuji right in front of Megumi but also discloses his master plan for the future.
The goal was to get Yuji to make a pact with him so that he could control Yuji at the precise moment he intended to control Megumi. Sukuna begins his speech by recalling the day he first faced Megumi as Yuji, and how he sensed something incredible in Megumi: healed methods and the ability to surpass even him. Sukuna could have had Megumi eat his fingers on the spot if he’d wanted to, but he didn’t want to put himself in Megumi’s psyche the way he did Yuji’s.
He put off shattering Megumi’s soul until he could amass more strength and find the right moment. Sukuna is making a strong allusion to Megumi’s realisation that his sister was an incarnated sorcerer, an idea that devastated him and helped to explain his erratic behaviour. Yuji’s shock at what he sees in the new issue is carried over from the previous one. Megumi, in character as Sukuna, charges in and attacks Yuji before he can even pose a question. Blood spurts from the latter’s mouth after he is punched, and he is sent flying over and through the buildings in a spectacular double spread. With rubble all around him, Yuji lands on the roof of another structure.
Utilizing Megumi’s Energy, Sukuna
In particular, we viewers discover that Takaba and Maki are made aware of the situation after hearing the reverberations of Sukuna’s blow on Yuji. It would appear that Sukuna is cognizant of the fact that the culling players are aware of him and are making their way to him. Sukuna is making gestures that suggest he is employing Megumi’s ten shadows tactics as he predicts that insects would emerge in any period. Then, in another double-page spread, we see that Sukuna has called on Nue, and this time it’s an entirely new and different kind of Nne. This Nue, like the one we saw Kenjaku raise when he urged the United States military to fight the sorcerers, is a monstrous muck.
Angel vs. Fallen One
Again, we have a double-page spread to show how Takaba and Maki feel about Sukuna calling on Nue. However, Sukuna and Hana are both caught off guard as a bolt of lightning suddenly descends from the sky, revealing the Angel. It’s true that Sukuna knocked out the Angel when he was inside Yuji’s body, but he now knows that Hana and the Angel coexist, therefore she’ll be OK in no time. Hana is reluctant to assault Sukuna because she is concerned about Megumi and believes that Megumi is still alive. But Angel says it’s too late; the kingdom has fallen. If they wish to stop Sukuna from sinking his root deeper and becoming more strong, they must strike Sukuna and Megumi right now. Ultimately, the only acceptable outcome of this fight is to shred Sukun to bits and put an end to him.
For this reason, while Hana screams out for Megumi and begs Angel to bring her back, Angel unleashes her cursed technique “Jacob’s Ladder,” depicted in a fourth double-spread where viewers see the heavens filled with a sign and then a massive piece of light energy smashes Sukuna down.
The Meaning of Jacob’s Ladder
In passing, the methods The account of Jacob’s dream in which angels descend from heaven and a ladder appears to convey people to heaven is told in Genesis 28:10–19, where it is called “Jacob’s Ladder.” Would you like us to make things easier for you?
You’ve obviously seen the Tom and Jerry episode when one of the cats dies and goes to heaven, where they make reference to Jacob’s ladder. In contrast, the term “Jacob’s Ladder” may refer to nothing more than an optical phenomenon caused by sunlight passing through dust particles or haze in the sky. They are visible now if one knows where to look in the sky. Oh well, I guess we should return to the chapter.
Hana is Sukuna’s Victim
The last two pages of Chapter 213 of Jujutsu Kaisen show us the danger posed by Sukuna and inform us that this demon is also manipulative. In response to Hana’s pleadings for Megumi’s return, Sukuna assumes a Megumi impression and interrupts Angel’s plans.
As he recalls her name, he assures Hana that everything is OK because of her. But the Angel knows that Sukuna is still in charge and that he is using Megumi’s voice to manipulate her. Hana, who has mistakenly decided that Megumi has returned, is inconsolable and falls into Angel’s arms while sobbing and calling out his name. However, Sukuna has not vanished; the final panel shows him poised to kill Hana while she embraces him, mistaking him for Megumi.

Spoilers for Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 213
At the beginning of this chapter, Sukuna has come to terms with the strength and potential of Megumi’s curse method, but he has also encountered resistance from Megumi. Like Yuuji, he thinks of Megumi as a prison rather than a vessel, which is why Sukuna waited for the ideal time to possess him. Megumi’s heart also breaks at this time. First of all, Sukuna could have fed his cursed finger to Megumi, but it wouldn’t have been the same as Yuuji battling with Sukuna to regain control of the ship. Instead, the hijacker (Sukuna) waited until the time when our guy, Megumi’s soul cracked. We’ve hypothesised about this for a while, like Sukuna being interested in Megumi for the Ten Shadows, that sort of had to be it, right? So this is like, partly the disclosure of Sukuna’s plan, at least for Megumi, I mean this isn’t the complete depth of it, but this is a lot of it.
And we thought, Oh is he going to use this to like materialise himself or something, and that may happen, and I mean he doesn’t do that in this chapter, but what he does with Ten Shadows is fairly remarkable, and we’ll get into that. I’m curious as to whether or not Sukuna had foreknowledge of the events leading up to Megumi’s Soul Snap and how he would utilise that chance to seize control of Megumi’s body and mind, or whether he was only patiently waiting for that moment to arrive. I really hope we get a revelation of how much Sukuna informed everyone in advance, or at least how much he told him and our folks, since he didn’t know, it was going to be this but turned out to be that. Takaba and Maki were the first to see that Sukuna was hitting Yuuji as they walked between buildings.
Absolutely devastating. Sukuna is flinging Yuuji like he’s from Dragon Ball Z; this is certainly the most devastating blow he’s ever suffered, and it appears he’s done; I don’t think Yuuji will be active for the next couple of chapters.
He seemed to have been completely shattered by this development and would require some sort of plot intervention in order to recover. The first thing we see as Sukuna rematerializes is his saying, “No matter whose Era it is, insects will always push onward,” which he also mentions later in the chapter. Next, Sukuna calls upon Nue, who turns out to be as tall as a skyscraper. You read that correctly. Sukuna utilises the Ten Shadows to call upon the Nue, but the creature he conjures is nothing like the Nue we’re used to seeing when Megumi employs the same method. In fact, the Neu that Sukuna calls upon looks an awful lot like Mothra—and no, that’s not an exaggeration. I can’t believe it can sit on top of a skyscraper, that’s how large it is. I won’t go into detail right now, but this is simply the latest of ten things he can conjure. Then Hana arrives, and we discover that Sukuna has been using Neu’s power to shoot massive lightning bolts across the battlefield.
We observe Hana yell at Angel to activate the Purification Light by claiming that he is Megumi, but we later learn that the light is useless since Megumi is actually “The Fallen Angel” in this same instant. During the chant, Hana is instructed to remove Sukuna and destroy him using the Curse Technique. This is a fairly crazy moment when Neu causes lightning to fall upon the city and is just about to strike Maki and Takaba until… When Angel appears, she casts a spell called Purification Light, which may or may not remove Angel’s ability. I guess it’s blocking to lighting, but Hana also says not to use it because it’s Megumi and removing someone’s curse technique could cause death, but Hana says to use the curse technique to peel off Sukuna and erase him because we also found out that Angel’s technique could be used in this way, but when Angel’s curse technique activates, it’s insane… The whole sky is consumed by it. Using the trumpet as a chanting aid, Hana begins to peel away Sukuna as soon as she activates it.
She proclaims to the world that the only person Megumi belongs to is herself, and immediately after, a voice is heard saying, “I remembered,” and the Sukuna marks on Megumi’s body begin to fade. Thank you, everything is all okay now, Megumi says to Hana, who is of course still a part of Sukuna. Despite Angel’s warning, Hana went ahead and hugged Megumi. Sukuna opens her lips wide and swallows Angel the second she embraces Megumi. The editor adds, “Never Forget the True Nature of the Curse,” as a closing remark to the chapter. Thus, Angel’s curse method failed to separate Sukuna from Megumi. Sukuna is still around, and as stated above, he will eat Angel by making his head enormous and opening his mouth wide. Therefore, he is either a cursed spirit or a being similar to Tengen!! We still don’t know, and this doesn’t help us any, but this could be Sukuna’s Curse Technique, which is crazy because we were also speculating about this for a while: Sukuna might have the cursed technique where he eats people and gains their curse techniques since he already possesses at least two of them (fire, cleave, and dismantle). And we believed we saw what looked like a mouth on his stomach; it was blurry, but it seemed to fit with the original Sukuna’s mythology, so we went with it. I never completed my research on it, but this seems like it may be the case, like Sukuna eating you to learn your curse skill.
