Spoilers for Jujutsu Kaisen 213 have recently been released, and they paint a bleak picture of the future for Yuji and Megumi. Sukuna, as is his custom, makes advantage of Megumi to inflict as much physical and mental harm on Yuji as he can. A bleak future is hinted at in the final lines of the chapter. Tsumiki’s Imposter, whose real name is Yorozu, chose Sukuna as her first opponent in the previous chapter. Sukuna utilised his Binding Vow to assume control of Yuji’s body after she departed. Sukuna transferred himself from Yuji’s body to Megumi’s by imbuing a finger with Cursed Energy and then tearing it off and feeding it to him.
Sukuna uses Megumi’s body to inflict fatal injuries on Yuji in chapter 213 of Jujutsu Kaisen, leaving Hana in peril. Spoilers for Chapter 213 of Jujutsu Kaisen indicate that Sukuna has always been aware of the power lurking behind Megumi’s Cursed Technique. Although Megumi could stand up to Sukuna, the King of Curses had to wait for the boy’s will to weaken before he could finally break it. After the events in Chapter 211, he finally had the chance to do so. Sukuna strikes Yuji so hard that his blow goes through multiple buildings while he stands there in awe and horror. Maki and Takaba hear the ruckus and run there, but Sukuna is quick to spot them.
He refers to the two oncoming sorcerers as “insects” before invoking the Ten Shadows Technique to call upon the lightning strike of Nue. Then Hana materialises above Sukuna, and Angel turns on the Purifying Light. When Hana tries to tell Angel that this isn’t the case, Angel explains that this is the body that houses “The Disgraced.” But she allows Hana the option of using her Cursed Technique to remove Sukuna from Megumi and delete him permanently. Hana begins a chant when Angel’s Cursed Technique is triggered, proclaiming that Megumi is hers. At that moment, Megumi’s body begins to rid itself of Sukuna’s Markings, and a voice says:
“I did not forget.”
Angel’s purification seems to have worked, as Megumi is gradually making her way back into view. He apologised to Hana and said everything was OK now. Hana, overcome with emotion, runs to him and embraces Megumi, despite Angel’s warnings to the contrary.
According to raw scans of Chapter 213 of Jujutsu Kaisen, Megumi’s back marks still exist, suggesting he is still Sukuna. Sukuna attempts to gulp down Megumi while Hana continues to embrace her.
Observations
In chapter 213 of Jujutsu Kaisen, Yuji’s condition becomes dire. and he can no longer mend his body without Sukuna. Unfortunately, Shoko Ieri’s whereabouts are currently unknown.
Yuta, who was last seen in the Sendai Colony, is the only one who can heal Yuji using the Reversed Cursed Technique. The duo of Hakari and Kashimo might be an effective backup plan if you ever need it against Sukuna. As a result, we should see these three again shortly. Megumi must have retained some recollection of Hana for Sukuna to use it against her, as the Incarnated get their memories from the vessels. Sukuna’s curse made him notorious for his penchant for eating people.
Thus, it is reasonable to assume that he can completely absorb Hana’s Cursed Technique by eating her. Without reading Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 213, we have no idea if or how the Purification affected Sukuna. The massive Nue that Sukuna conjures in Chapter 213 of Jujutsu Kaisen is further evidence that Sukuna can boost the power of Megumi’s Ten Shadows. The ultimate unknown may turn out to be whether or not the former chooses to employ Chimera Shadow Garden, and what its transformed form would be. There’s also no resolution to the mystery of whether or not Sukuna can call up and control Mahoraga.
Concluding Ideas
The idea that Megumi has a high resistance to Sukuna and might have functioned as a vessel if not for the broken condition of his soul has far-reaching and startling ramifications. Based on what we learn in Chapter 213 of Jujutsu Kaisen, Sukuna has always been Megumi’s potential with his Cursed Technique, and now that he controls Megumi’s body, he can extract every last bit of power from it.
