A short review of episode 286 of Boruto
Sasuke and Sakura accomplished their task at Redaku and brought peace and stability to the country in the previous episode, bringing an end to the Sasuke Retsuden arc. Sasuke, Sakura, and Meno worked together in this episode to defeat Zansul, Jiji, and their army of reanimated dragons. Whereas Zansul’s hubris caused him to plummet to his death, Jiji found himself ensnared by Sakura. Meanwhile, it appears that Prince Nanara’s rebellion, led by Kakashi, was successful, and he was crowned king. Jiji said that he agreed to raise the dragons from the dead only because he was assured that the body of the lady he loved, Margo, would be delivered to him as well. From Sakura, he learnt that he shouldn’t have done the illegal jutsu, and from Sasuke, he learned that the Prime Minister had lied to him and that Margo was still alive. After rescuing Sakura from the jaws of a fleeing dragon beast, Jiji freed the Edo-Tensei. Soon after, it was revealed that the Ultra Particles had successfully cured Naruto, who expressed his appreciation to everyone involved. On the other hand, Jiji and Margo joined King Nanara’s court as attendants to help with the reconstruction of Redaku.
The release time for Boruto 287 is Sunday, February 12 at 5:30 pm JST. The episode will air on TV TOKYO and Crunchyroll, Funimation, Hulu, and VRV in Japan, as well as on platforms throughout the world. At the JUMP Super Festa 2023, it was revealed that the Code arc will be occurring.
