Recap of Chapter 746
Kingdom Riboku and Kanki’s troops continued their deadly struggle in Chapter 746. Futei arrived in Kanki, but Ringyoku had to choose between protecting Kanki and going after Riboku. While the rest went for Riboku, Ringyoku defended a young Kanki in his mind and sent him on his way. Kokuou aimed an arrow at Futei and let it fly. But he sidestepped, and Kaine saw the retreating Kanki’s warriors from Riboku.
Futei cautioned Ringyoku against engaging in a conflict based on emotions, saying that they had already hurt so many people’s feelings to reach where they were. Kokuou, on the other hand, was adamant about standing up for what she thought was right, and she fought back against Futei with all her might.
On the opposite side, Zenou and Bafuuji were making a similar charge, with Bafuuji willing to put his life on the line to protect Riboku. Zenou’s defences were taken over by the Zhao cavalry. The Zhao troops didn’t give up until they had successfully defended Riboku. Riboku was asked if his life was truly worth all this Kanki, who laughed and stated they were all insane. The name of the upcoming chapter has not been released. Riboku and Kanki have a tough one-on-one faceoff as the conflict continues. Kanki mocks Riboku, convinced of his superior ability. He boasts about being the best strategist and that Riboku’s forces are no match for his. Riboku, though, is unmoved and keeps fighting with everything he has. On the other side of the battlefield, Shin and his troops have arrived and are now fighting Kanki’s men.
In addition, their presence alters the course of the war, with Kanki’s army beginning to collapse in the face of Riboku and Shin’s combined forces.
In a last-ditch effort, Kanki orders his surviving troops to single out Shin for an attack. He plans to assassinate the commander-in-chief and therefore demoralise the armed forces. At this decisive moment in the fight, Riboku and Kanki are still going at it. As the noise of the war dies down and the dust settles, both sides may consider what it took to win and how much was lost.
