As with Boruto episode 285, the Sasuke Retsuden storyline is nearly over. Sasuke and Sakura’s journey thus far in the story has been focused on their search for the Ultra Particles that can heal Naruto. It had been a while since the last episode, but fans were treated to Sasuke and Sakura’s breakthrough—their discovery of the Map of the Heavens. In episode 285 of Boruto, the two protagonists figure out the Map of the Heavens. The military intentions of Redaku’s Prime Minister, which had been developing covertly until now, also come to the fore in this episode. In episode 285 of Boruto, Sasuke and Sakura make an effort to thwart the dragons.
A conversation between Sakura and Ganno
Kakashi writes a letter to Sakura in Boruto episode 285 in which he reveals that the Prime Minister of Redaku has declared war in the name of the Princess. When Sakura hears the news, she rushes to the cafeteria to tell Sasuke, but she cannot locate him there. Meanwhile, Ganno shows up to keep her company while she waits. Before leaving, he tells her that Sasuke often sat in the cafeteria and watched the almond blossoms through the window because they reminded him of sakura cherry blossoms.
Success for Sasuke and Sakura
After Ganno leaves, Sakura sits in the cafeteria to think about things, and her thoughts eventually turn to the Map of the Heavens from Boruto episode 285. After a brief moment of confusion, she figures out that she needs to use hand signs in order to get to the Ultra Particles. While Sasuke is out with Jiji doing his job, he spots a lake in the distance. Jiji tells him that a meteor had hit the area, creating a crater that eventually filled with water after a rainstorm. Sasuke then knows he must go to the lake to find Sakura and the Ultra Particles.
To get to the Ultra Particles
Sasuke and Sakura had a sweet moment together discussing their love for one another in Boruto episode 285 before going for the Ultra Particles. Sasuke proposes to Sakura by inquiring if she would want a wedding band to symbolise their union. The latter informs him that she has lost interest and that a ring would look ridiculous on her rough fingers. Sasuke then admits that he feels guilty about ignoring his loved ones, but Sakura reassures him that he has nothing to worry about. After this, Sakura travels to the lake and uses hand signals to bring forth the Ultra Particles the Sage of Six Paths had hidden away using ninjutsu. Sakura retrieves the protected Ultra Particles from a column of light that materialises in the lake.
Monsters with dragons’ faces are brought back to life
An explosion goes off, and in Boruto episode 285 hundreds of dragon creatures can be seen soaring through the air. Sasuke decides to give chase and gives Sakura orders to locate Zansul. In a twist of fate, however, it is Sasuke who meets Zansul. Zansul admits that the discovery of the Ultra Particles by Sasuke and Sakura was crucial to his ability to revive so many monsters. He had previously used apricots that had absorbed the Ultra Particles’ chakra in this procedure. His devotion to Redaku’s Prime Minister, who is leading a military campaign and needs the dragon creatures as weapons, seems to have blinded him to the fact that Reanimation is a banned jutsu.
The true identity of Zansul’s hidden partner is exposed
The dragon creatures are hot on the trail of the captured Tartars. The convicts were trapped inside the facility until Sakura appeared and punched a hole in the wall. She then sets out to find Zansul, who has mysteriously vanished. Jiji suddenly emerges, clearly glad to find Sakura unharmed. He tells her that he saw Zansul in the courtyard earlier. Then, he hugs her and stabs her in the back with a kunai that has been dipped in poison. The only way for Jiji to bring back his dead girlfriend Margo is to steal Ultra Particles, so he does just that. He performs the appropriate hand motions to release the lid. The ground shakes as a huge dragon-like beast emerges from the horizon.

In episode 284 of Boruto, Sakura met the Prime Minister of Redaku’s emissary. She brought him to a room where Sasuke knocked him unconscious rather than to Zansul’s office, where he had intended to go. Then Sakura pretended to be a courier, using Sasuke as her staff. They quietly sneaked inside Zansul’s office. During her stay, Sakura learned that the Prime Minister of Redaku was hoping to get whatever it was that Zansul had in his possession (presumably a secret weapon). A chamber filled with fossils and fowl, as well as an altar, caused Sasuke to suspect that Zansul was using Reanimation to revive dragon creatures while Sakura distracted him in the basement. Meno assaulted Sasuke in the cellar that went to the rear of the Tartar Observatory. Sasuke let himself get bitten by the monster instead of fighting back. He even tended to the wounds of the animal. Sasuke’s genjutsu overcame Meno’s, and the beast became an immediate ally.
