Tokyo Revengers Season 2 has officially begun. When the Shiba brothers were brought into the series, the plot took a surprising and engaging turn. Mitsuya will attempt to reconcile with his older brother, Hakkai Shiba, now that Hakkai has decided to leave Toman in an effort to bring peace to their sister. The future episode will focus on the meeting between Mitsuya and Taiju and will reveal whether or not Hakkai will abandon Toman.
Previous Events on Tokyo Revengers: What Happened? (Recap)
Even though Taiju told Hakkai to beat Takemichi, Hakkai was afraid to do so. While Yuzuhara was trying to intervene, Taiju struck her for standing up for Hakkai. In response to Takemichi’s striking a lady, Taiju attacked him, beating him with the intention of killing him. Hakkai, however, agreed to abandon Toman provided Taiju spared Takemichi’s life, and thus the latter was rescued. Takemichi eventually told Hakkai he was sorry for causing difficulty, but he was leaving Toman anyhow. While in the hospital, Takemichi had the epiphany that if Hakkai killed his brother, it would spell disaster for Toman’s future, and he needed to do something to stop it. The group of buddies he had been sleeping with were all in his room when he awoke, having apparently joined Toman.
Chifuyu was also there and provided background on Black Dragon, including how the assault on Takemichi might spark a war between the two gangs. Takemichi, however, preferred to handle things on his own, so Chifuyu took him outside and reassured him that Baji would have been furious to see him in such a precarious position. The two became close, and eventually, Takemichi confided in Chifuyu about his time-travelling talents. Chifuyu, surprisingly, not only believed him but also praised his independent efforts and pledged his complete support for Toman’s brighter future. After that, the two of them made some feeble measures to prevent Hakkai from abandoning Toman at the impending meeting, but their efforts were futile. Hakkai asked to leave Toman at the end of the episode, but Mikey left the choice up to Mitsuya.
