There have been several leaks and early images of One Piece Chapter 1073 this week, building up the anticipation for the issue’s official publication next week. Interestingly also is the issue’s emphasis on CP0’s Stussy, therefore revealing her to be the unknown ally to whom Dr Vegapunk first sought out. Moreover, the raw scans for Chapter 1073 of One Piece provide a glimpse of what looks to be Stussy’s complete Hybrid form for her Devil Fruit, should she possess one. Whether or if her abilities are indeed the result of eating a Devil Fruit remains a matter of conjecture at this time. It has been confirmed via raw scans of One Piece Chapter 1073 that the member with the grey dreadlocks is named Gorosei.
Raw Scans
The raw scans for One Piece Chapter 1073 begin with the front cover, confirming the details from the text-based spoilers released earlier in the week. Fans witness Dr Vegapunk taking pride in his invention of flower-shooting tanks as Caesar Clown, Vinsmoke Judge, and Queen look on with distaste. In the raw scans that follow, Stussy has just finished putting Kaku to sleep and is now fighting Lucci. The actual Stussy has moved behind Lucci, but it appears that Lucci has assaulted an afterimage of Stussy. After putting Lucci to sleep with a bite, she uses a lipstick tube with a Sea Prism Stone to finish the job. Stussy’s tongue lengthens and huge fangs grow out of her teeth, giving the impression that she has completely morphed into whatever demon the Devil Fruit of supposed Zoan kind represents. It’s also not apparent if the raw scans for One Piece Chapter 1073 are of poor quality, but with this transformation, her complexion seems to darken. As Brook watches from the Thousand Sunny and Zoro approaches Stussy, viewers see Lucci collapse. Spoilers in the text show that Stussy is Dr Vegapunk’s secret ally and that she confesses this fact to both Zoro and Brook. At the same time, she radios in the rest of the Straw Hat crew, including Vegapunk Shaka. Stussy is then shown saying that the Seraphim had reached the Lab Stratum building and that she is powerless to stop them.
Next, the raw scans of One Piece Chapter 1073 reveal S-Snake, S-Bear, and S-Shark ready to attack the building and Vegapunk Lilith and Vegapunk Edison, who is attempting to deliver an order for the Seraphim to cease their assault. Both Zoro and Brook can be seen racing to the scene, and happily, Vegapunk Lilith has survived the explosion. As S-Hawk moves in for the kill, Zoro jumps in between them, clearly unnerving the Mihawk-like Seraphim. They struggle for a moment, and Vegapunk Eidson is able to send word to the Seraphim to cease their actions. Stussy uses her Transponder Snail to relay a message to Shaka and the rest of the Straw Hats after they have successfully subdued the Seraphim. When Luffy goes in search of Dr Vegapunk and Jewelry Bonney, it’s a good hint that the Straw Hats and their readers are getting ready to say goodbye to Egghead Island and the arc it represents. The raw scans of One Piece Chapter 1073 then cut to Sphinx Island, where Marco is hearing from a group of kids that the Marines invaded while he was away. Just as it looked like the Marines were about to win, Edward Weevil appeared and drove them back. Unfortunately, not long after, Admiral Ryokugyu seized Weevil. Spoiler alert: Weevil’s mom, Miss Bakkin, shows in and starts yelling at Marco, presumably because she didn’t get any of Whitebeard’s money. Bakkin’s introduction paragraph, which is visible in the raw scans of One Piece Chapter 1073, makes a reference to MADS, which is very noteworthy. Spoilers in the text did not reveal this, but it is possible that she was the fifth female member of the rogue research group MADS, which was mentioned.
After reportedly shouting at Marco to question Dr Vegapunk about Weevil’s ancestry, Bakkin is shown wailing about Weevil’s abduction. Raw scans continue into the next and last page, which depicts a World Government ship and many Marines at sea. Admiral Kizaru finally appears on the World Government’s ship, delighting supporters everywhere. Among the Gorosei, he is the one who serves the one with grey dreadlocks and a scar on the left side of his face. His real name is Saint Jegarcia Saturn, as revealed in the accompanying paragraph spoilers. With Kizaru, he laments the current state of affairs and talks about his previous encounter with Dr. Vegapunk.
