At the Jump Festa 2023 event on Saturday, a video introducing new characters was shown. The next season’s premiere date has also been revealed. Both in-person and remote viewers got a look at the upcoming season’s important characters in their reimagined forms. In addition to Nobunaga Shimazaki and Junya Enoki, the second season’s expanded plot points were discussed at length on stage. Five main characters who will be participating in the new arc were shown in graphics during the event.
The second season will be promoted by a nationwide Jujutsu Kaisen demonstration starting in March 2023 and travelling around Japan. Nobunaga also said that he had deliberately altered his voice to seem more like a younger Gojo.
About Season 2
As the second season of Jujutsu Kaisen adapts the ‘Kaigyoku/Gyokusetsu’ and the ‘Shibuya Incident’ arcs from the manga, it is anticipated that it would air over the course of a period of half a year. Following the completion of Jujutsu Kaisen season 1 in March, the movie adaptation of the series prequel, titled Jujutsu Kaisen 0, was released in theatres all around Japan in December of the previous year.
The film, which is an adaptation of a prequel manga that was published in 2021 and consisted of four chapters, includes, among other fan-favourite characters, Gojou Satoru, Maki Zenin, Toge Inumaki, and Panda. Jujutsu Kaisen was initially published as a serial in Weekly Shnen Jump by Shueisha in March of 2018. The series has since been collected into 21 tankobon volumes and has been shortlisted for the 25th annual Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize, which is awarded to manga creators.
It has also been turned into a smartphone game that will be titled Jujutsu Kaisen: Phantom Parade and is scheduled to be released in the spring of 2023. The titles of the books that were inspired by the series are Jujutsu Kaisen: Iku Natsu to Kaeru Aki and Jujutsu Kaisen: Yoake no Ibara Michi.
The end of the wait is in sight! The precise debut month for Season 2 of Jujutsu Kaisen has been announced. The Fest ’23 event revealed that the show will premiere again in July of 2023. The news comes after it was revealed on September 25, 2022, that the second season will be split into two parts. Different storylines from the manga will be highlighted in each volume. Two significant graphics for Season 2 of Jujutsu Kaisen were unveiled on the same day, providing a sneak peek at the storylines that will be included. Satoru Gojo, Shoko Ieiri, and GetoSuguru will be the primary protagonists of the first segment.
The picture depicts the cast in full Jujutsu High garb. The contemporary heroes Yuji Itadori, Megumi Fushiguro, and NobaraKugisaki will also appear in a picture named The Shibuya Incident. The second season of the anime will adapt both the “Kaigyoku/Gyokusetsu” and the “Shibuya Incident” storylines. Death Painting Arc, which spanned from chapters 55-64 in the manga, is adapted in the first season.
The 65–79 chapters that makeup Gojo’s backstory in the original manga will be adapted in Season 2 of Jujutsu Kaisen. The manga’s arc devoted to The Shibuya Incident will span chapters 79–136. Here are the actors that have been confirmed to return for Season 2 of Jujutsu Kaisen.
