“The Birth of the Superheroes” begins with a calm scene of Goku, Whis, Beerus, and the Oracle Fish enjoying a meal together on Beerus’ planet in Dragon Ball Super Chapter 88. Peace is briefly broken as they debate the impending danger posed by Black Freiza’s reappearance and the necessity of training to confront him. In this new chapter, Trunks and Goten make their first appearance as the superheroes Saiyaman X-1 and Saiyaman X-2, respectively.
Two teens in their high school uniforms keep an eye out for illegal activities in Mosquito Town’s jewellery section. But their hard work is quickly put to the test when they encounter a band of thieves carrying off their booty. Without thinking twice, Trunks and Goten go into action, destroying the criminals’ weapons. Quickly, the heroes put down the bandits. At the end of the chapter, our heroes arrived as the new guardians of the town by pounding their chests and striking heroic poses to announce their presence. At the end of the chapter, there was a subtle suggestion that the focus might shift away from Goku and Vegeta.
