In the most recent episode of Boruto, which is a spin-off of Naruto, the story arc dubbed “Sasuke Retsuden” began. Sasuke has started his mission to save Naruto from the terrible chakra-blocking disease, and he has a good plan to enter the institute to do so. However, he quickly discovers that the facility is guarded by formidable entities, making this endeavour extremely dangerous. In the end, Kakashi is successful in locating the necessary paperwork.
Outline of Boruto Episode 282
At the beginning of the prior episode, Sasuke overhears two ladies discussing a wedding ring while seated in a café. He remembers that Naruto was afflicted with the same disease as the Sage of Six Paths and begins his study into Kara’s victims. Reading the logs, he learns that the Sage became better after checking out the Astronomy Research Institute.
The kingdom of Redaku is shown to be in a dreadful situation, with starvation ravaging the population and the Prime Minister now in charge following the death of the monarch.
Kakashi takes the chance to become Prince Nanara’s instructor and exploits this position to investigate more. Sasuke resolves to take matters into his own hands and goes undercover as a prisoner to find out what’s going on inside. When Naruto tries to intervene, he is quickly overwhelmed by the man’s might. He attempts to assimilate with the other convicts by listening to them discuss their sentences, while some try to hurt him and are easily taken down by Sasuke. On time, the jail warden comes and explains that Sasuke acted only out of self-defence.
During the chaos of the battle, one prisoner makes an attempt to escape, only to be devoured by the guard dragon, Meno. Sasuke first chooses against gathering the information, but later changes his mind. He utilises his ninjutsu skills to win a gambling game against the other convicts. After gaining control, he orders the inmates to cause a disturbance so he may sneak inside. On his quest to get the paperwork, he runs across the monster Meno and the two engage in a fierce battle, which leaves the monster seriously wounded. Later that day, Sasuke realises that Meno doesn’t appear to have any physical injuries, and Zansul confronts him with questions about the incident and a warning about the heightened security around him. At the end of the episode, the Prime Minister declares war on other countries to cope with the famine, and Kakashi obtains the documents he has been seeking.
