Which degree is best for life?

Truth be told, few people spend a significant portion of their lives actively pursuing their true calling. Oh, don’t fret. Not everyone feels the way you do. A third of U.S. high school seniors are undecided about what they want to study in college or do after graduation.

Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics
You can’t go wrong if you decide to major in languages. Also, we’re not simply referring to English, which functions as something of a global lingua franca. The first step is often the hardest. Consider majoring in a language that is in high demand, like Chinese, Russian, Portuguese, a Nordic language, or Arabic, if you wish to utilise a Bachelor’s in Languages as a stepping stone to another profession. Earning a degree in languages might pave the way to a career in teaching, translating, hospitality, business, or international relations, to mention a few.

Education in the Natural Sciences at the Bachelor’s Level
So you’re good with statistics, know your way around a lab, and have an almost pathological fascination with scientific inquiry. However, you are unable to zero in on a certain line of work that interests you. Which profession, among medicine, physics, and research, would you like to pursue? Yes, we understand completely. Instead of spending too much time worrying about what job to pursue, why not get a degree in the area that interests you the most and then figure it out later? If you major in Biology or Chemistry, for instance, you may always pursue further medical education after graduation. Similarly, a background in mathematics is valuable in many professional contexts, including education, commerce, and economics. So chill down and go with the area of Natural Science in which you feel most comfortable right now.

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
Today, engineering is a rather narrow field compared to others. If you are interested in Engineering but aren’t sure if you want to focus on electrical, mechanical, automotive, or any other area, a degree in General Engineering is a suitable option. A Bachelor of Science in General Engineering will give you three years to figure out what special engineering ability you want to hone for your Master’s.

Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science
Starting with a Bachelor’s in Computer Science is a good option because no industry can function without the usage of digital technologies. You can then specialise in an area like engineering, statistics, art, or archaeology, all of which are increasingly dependent on graphical models and software to analyse data.

A Degree in Business Startups
It doesn’t matter if your true calling is in the arts, music, computer science, or engineering; the skills you gain in an Entrepreneurship programme will come in useful in any field. You will have the tools to try again if things don’t go as planned. Also, that’s a nice soothing bonus. In addition, your parents will be relieved to know that there is always a need for people with such a degree.
