Recap of Episode 281
Soon after emerging from Genjutsu, Boruto joins up with Yatsume and Rokuro, and the three of them go to investigate the Ouga complex. The intricacy of Ouga causes them to get separated, but Rokuro is able to escape with the assistance of the map Yatsume obtained from Ouga’s first spy. When Boruto revisits Yatsume, he discovers that she is now in command of the parasite that Rokuro unleashed. Rokuro is assaulted by the Ouga as he nears the exit, and Boruto discovers that he and Yatsume are still stuck in the second layer of Genjutsu by observing the parasite’s takeover of Yatsume’s body. Despite this, he finds a means to get away, which infuriates Yatsume to the point that she stops pretending to be Ouga and instead comes clean as herself. They call her the ninth Inner of Kara and the Cyborg of Amado.
Boruto immediately recognises the location as Kara’s headquarters since it is the same area where Jigen was killed by Koji Kashin. After introducing herself, she says that she was built with the enhanced cognitive ability to help with the study. And so she began to experiment with individuals in order to rediscover her motivation to live. For the sake of evading the Genjutsu and waking the others, Ouga orders Boruto to murder her, but he refuses. Boruto begs her to find a cause to live as the Genjutsu crumbles around her. Meanwhile, everyone is alert and healthy, and Ouga has written a farewell letter in which she expresses her hope to meet Boruto one day.
