This week saw the publication of One Piece chapter 1071 spoilers, despite the series’ official release being on hold while Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine was on holiday recess. Chapter 1071 of One Piece is a highly anticipated issue since it sets up numerous major storylines for the near future of the series. The first arc of the last epic has impressed viewers so far, and it is quickly becoming the most anticipated part of the show to watch each week in quite some time.
As the Egghead Island storyline moves on, Chapter 1071 of One Piece looks ahead to the conclusion of the series.
One Piece Chapter 1071:
Bartholomew Kuma has arrived at his previously undisclosed location at the start of One Piece chapter 1071. He was heading towards the Red Line, where Mariejois is located. This is the location where Sabo and his crew liberated Kuma from captivity. Bartholomew Kuma crashes through the rock wall of the Red Line at Red Port and plummets to the city below. The populace of the Red Port gathers around him as they recognise him as Kuma and recount his time as the invincible slave of the Celestial Dragons. Kuma gets up and stares at the sky as the area is sealed off, his body appearing more battered than before. The focus of One Piece chapter 1071 moves to Egghead Island, where Lucci has ordered CP0 agents to seal up all exits so that Dr Vegapunk cannot get away. He gives them permission to destroy the ships, explaining that even with the Seraphim on their side, the situation is still hazardous. Lucci seems intent on disobeying the Marines’ instructions, and Stussy notes that Luffy isn’t a Yonko in his eyes. Vegapunk Shaka, meantime, fills the Straw Hats in on CP0’s intentions and manoeuvres, which he describes as “shrewd” because they eliminate any escape options.
Vegapunk Pythagoras notes that CP0 probably won’t make it to the lab stratum, while Vegapunk Lilith is out on vengeance. Dr Vegapunk, who is still eating, assures Vegapunk York that they will not be able to depart without a fight from CP0. Vegapunk Edison brags about the new innovation he’s come up with, while Vegapunk Shaka scolds Lilith for her ill-considered attack strategy. Shaka reminds her that saving Dr Vegapunk’s life is of utmost importance, and the latter asks why they can’t retaliate. Dr Vegapunk mourns the loss of Sentomaru in Chapter 1071 of One Piece, while Pythagoras teases that they have one more ally on Egghead they may rely on. However, Edison points out that the Straw Hats will be just as vulnerable if they follow this course of action, and that they will have nowhere to hide. Dr Vegapunk, meantime, phones an unknown individual for assistance; the caller says they’ve “always been prepared for this order.” Dr Vegapunk, the Stella body, is the only one who doesn’t get it out of there alive, but the Vegapunk Satellites are jubilant since the former just told them that aid is on the way.
He then announces that all seven Vegapunks, including the absent and injured Atlas, would be attending. Meanwhile, within the lab, Jewelry Bonney is on the run from Monkey D. Luffy and Tony Tony Chopper so that she may face Vegapunk about her father and Vegapunk’s “using bugs against [Bonney].” In Chapter 1071 of One Piece, as people let their guard down, fights break out. The Lab Stratum Frontier Dome’s defences are suddenly confirmed to be down in One Piece chapter 1071. The Vegapunk Satellites report that the control centre is deserted. Meanwhile, CP0 wonders whether they’re walking into a trap because this sudden breakdown is “a bit too handy.” The gang then takes Skywalk up to the Lab Stratum, where they lament that the malfunction couldn’t have come at a worse time for Dr Vegapunk. Lucci declares that the ship must be destroyed once the three of them notice the Thousand Sunny and the old robot. The spacecraft seems to be doomed as Kaku fires a Tempest Kick Sky Slicer at it.
Zoro, however, awakens at a critical moment in One Piece chapter 1071, allowing him to deflect the onslaught and save the ship. He wants to know who woke him up from his snooze, while Kaku can’t believe he’s aboard the ship. Pythagoras reveals that the Frontier Dome has been restored to service, but that the Thousand Sunny is once again at risk due to the infiltration of CP0 operatives. Zoro and Kaku are seen to be in close quarters battle when one of the Vegapunks observes that they are already battling. Upon seeing Luffy and the others, Lilith exclaims with joy that they will finally get to go to battle with their crew. The captain of the Straw Hats is dismayed to learn that they are already going and warns them not to waste this chance. Next, in Chapter 1071 of One Piece, we see how the rest of the Straw Hats feel about the situation. While Luffy is wondering whether anybody has seen Bonney, Nico Robin mentions that Dr Vegapunk has disappeared. The story then shifts to Bonney pursuing Dr Vegapunk, who she wants to ask whether he can restore her father, Bartholomew Kuma, to his normal human form.
Dr Vegapunk is disheartened to report that he cannot, but he does offer an explanation for why this is impossible. After this, the focus returns to “somewhere in the waters of the New World,” where Eustass Kid and the Kid Pirates are sailing, in Chapter 1071 of One Piece. Killer wakes Kid awake, stating they’re close to shore and wondering if they should explore.
One Piece Chapter 1071: Garp Leaves Elbaf
The kid doesn’t understand why Killer is asking; he’s never said no to checking out a new island before. This island is probably Elbaf, home of the Giants, the latter responds, piquing Kid’s interest. This seems to back up the common fan belief that Jaguar D. Saul, who is now on Elbaf, is the “guy marked by flames” referenced by Kid at the conclusion of Wano.
Once the G-14 Naval Base is established in Chapter 1071 of One Piece, the action shifts there. Vice Admiral Doll is on the phone with Vice Admiral Garp, informing him that the whole base is set to deploy to Egghead, leaving no personnel behind. The latter jokes at her expense, telling her to “not be like that,” but Doll assures her that his desire to launch an attack against a Yonko is deadly serious.
Doll presses the point by asking if Garp has gotten approval from “the upper brass,” but Garp counters by asking why he would even consider it. When the latter wonders how he’s lasted so long in the Marines despite his unconventional behaviour, Garp assures them both that everything is great, adding that he’s already at the G-14 level. Garp then shows up at the base in Chapter 1071 of One Piece, calling for Helmeppo to come outside. Before they see Garp’s ship, the people in the base wonder whether it’s a pirate raid, which prompts Helmeppo to come to the window and reveal that he was hoping to meet his old instructor. Hearing that his companion Koby has been taken captive by Blackbeard, Helmeppo expresses his regret at being powerless to rescue him. A frustrated Garp tells him to come on board so they can rescue Koby from Hachinosu. In the issue’s closing panel, SWORD members Hibari and Helmeppo excitedly call out Garp’s name as they prepare to go rescue Koby.
Summing up
There are a lot of interesting things happening in the next few chapters of One Piece, and that’s because of Chapter 1071. This fantastic issue establishes or introduces several major plot points: Kuma’s return to the Mariejois region, Kid’s entrance at Elbaf, and Dr Vegapunk’s mystery conspirator and his motive for not sending Kuma back. The possible consequences for ties between Yonko and the World Government are intriguing, as is Garp’s choice to rescue Koby.
All the more so if Blackbeard manages to grab the Devil Fruit from Law in the struggle between them featured in several issues previous to One Piece chapter 1071. The conclusion of a confrontation between Garp and Blackbeard may seem obvious, yet Garp has earned the title of “Hero of the Marines” for his bravery in facing Rocks D. Xebec and his men. In light of this, viewers may be assured that Garp would give Blackbeard a good battle if given the opportunity.
A few more chapter clues
The events of One Piece chapter 1071 have been hinted at in many places, with one saying that Garp would arrive (albeit not on Egghead). Zoro will also make an appearance, although he and Kizaru won’t have any dialogue at this time. Another report claims that Kidd is planning a trip to Elbaf, often known as the Island of the Giants. They may be visiting this area, as it is said to be the site of the last Road Poneglyph and another potential destination for the Straw Hats.

As we saw in the prior chapter, Luffy and Lucci were locked in combat, and despite having the upper hand, Luffy tried to flee the situation by running away. Also, that makes sense, as rescuing Vegapunk is currently their top priority. It has now been revealed that the focus of Chapter 1071 will switch to the battle between Zoro and Kaku and that Garp, Kid and his crew, and Kuma will all make an appearance in the next chapter.
