Synopsis of Episode 12 of Blue Lock
Stage two of the Blue Lock begins with individual tests for each applicant following team bouts. The goal of this examination is to weed out those contestants who needed help from their teammates to make it through the first part of Blue Lock. To pass Isagi’s exam, players must score one hundred times within sixty minutes while a hologram stands in their way. As more targets are added, so does the test’s difficulty. As a confidence booster, Isagi breezes through the challenge. At this point, all players who have advanced to the third round must get into groups of three to begin the third round.
Isagi and Bachira are prepared to join the squad and are awaiting the arrival of Chiguri or Kunigami. Team V’s Nagi, however, has invited Isagi and Reo to join their ranks. Isagi says no, so Nagi approaches him about joining his group. Reo is hurt by Nagi’s defection, but Isagi convinces him to play soccer seriously with his new squad. Stage three signs of progress to a new phase when the rules are revealed and one team can “take” a player from the other if they win. Isagi’s ego instructs him to go for Itoshi Rin, the younger brother of Itoshi Sae, the brilliant midfielder for the Japanese national team because Rin is the strongest person in the system. So, Isagi’s squad issues a challenge to Rin’s.
