The second season of Tokyo Revengers will premiere on television on January 7, 2023. The season premiere theme song and opening video (without credits) were uploaded to the official YouTube account on December 31. White Noise by Official Hige Dandism is the theme tune. The Tokyo Revengers’ second season will adapt the Christmas Showdown storyline. Whether or not this is a two-hour production has not been revealed, but even if it is, anime typically uses only one theme music for both cours.
Similar to Season 1, the opening theme for Season 2 of Tokyo Revengers was composed by the same artist. The four-piece Japanese pop band Official Hige Dandism performed “Cry Baby” as the series opener for Tokyo Revengers in 2021. As early as 2022, they provided the opening theme song, Mixed Nuts, for the first season of the Spy X Family anime. The contrast between White Noise and Cry Baby is subtler.
Takemichi Hanagaki, Chifuyu Matsuno, Taiju Shiba, Yuzuha and Hakkai Shiba, Manjiro Sano, Ken Ryuguji, Takashi Mitsuya, Tetta Kisaki, Shuuji Hanma, Hajime Kokonoi, Seishu Inui, Naoto Tachibana, and Hinata Tachibana are all featured in the promotional film for Tokyo Revengers. We also see the shape of a person with long hair, but it’s not made clear if that person is the late Keisuke Baji or the futuristic Kazutora Hanemiya. Although the season is titled Tokyo Revengers: Seiya Kessen-hen, the latter portion of the video suggests that it will cover more than the Christmas Showdown arc and may even begin the first part of the Tenjiku arc (Christmas Showdown Arc).
There were 24 episodes in the first season of the Tokyo Revengers anime, which aired from April 11 to September 19, 2021. It took 77 manga chapters and expanded them into three story arcs: Toman, Moebius, and Valhalla. There will be three additional arcs after the Black Dragons arc/Christmas Showdown arc: the Tenjiku arc, the Bonten arc, and the Final Arc. Within the larger Final arc, there are two smaller stories: the Three Deities and the Kanto Manji.
