On January 8, 2023, at 5:30 p.m. JST, the first episode of Sasuke Retsuden will be published alongside Boruto: Naruto Next Generations as episode 282. In this new storyline, Sasuke and Sakura will explore the mysterious realm of Redaku, where they will inevitably run across some kind of strange difficulty. In the anime, Boruto’s Labyrinth Game arc has concluded, but the manga has yet to catch up, thus the tale is taking a little detour before jumping into the canonical Code storyline. However, Sasuke Retsuden is considered canon because it was authored by Kishimoto and Jun Esaka and released as a light novel. It’s being published as a manga drawn by Shingo Kimura right now.

The first event of Sasuke Retsuden will include Naruto’s mysterious ailment, which will send Sasuke to the faraway land of Redaku in quest of treatment. The Sage of Six Paths went to Redaku to consult the astronomer Tartar, who was afflicted with the same illness. Sasuke will penetrate the jail that was formerly the Tartar Observatory and will be struck by the oddity of the facility and its director, Zansul, right away. Sakura will follow Sasuke on his investigation into Redaku’s numerous secrets by posing as a nurse.

Episode 281 of Boruto marked the conclusion of the Labyrinth Game storyline, in which Ouga subjected the shinobis to a terrifying maze experiment. Yatsume’s true identity as Ouga was exposed in this episode. She said she was an Inner Amado had made to aid in his investigation.
