Black Clover chapter 347 spoilers have been released, revealing the shocking truth of the Yami clan tragedy. A member of the Ryuzen Seven, Yami Ichika, went insane when her father forcibly fed her a narcotic, and it was later discovered that Black Bulls leader Yami Sukehiro was completely innocent of the occurrence. In chapter 346 of Black Clover, the Ryuzen Seven vanquished the Sacred Dragon, a five-headed monster. The Shogun warned them of the impending onslaught a day in advance, having seen it coming via his Tengentsu. Yrul devised a spell that forced Ichika to confront her father, the person she feared most, just as the Ryuzen Seven were about to start their attack on the Paladins. This triggered flashbacks to the Yami clan slaughter, letting the fans in on the truth. Black Clover readers were relieved when Yami was exonerated from being a clone of Itachi.
After the revelations in chapter 347 exposed the real reason for the Yami clan tragedy, Black Clover readers were having a blast on Twitter. Anime fans first thought that Black Clover mangaka Yuki Tabata had just plagiarised Itachi Uchiha’s history from Naruto for Yami Sukehiro, when Ichika told how Yami Sukehiro slaughtered her tribe and departed the nation. Yuki Tabata has won the argument that Yami Sukehiro was a clone of Itachi now that the truth has been disclosed through Ichika’s regaining memories. After this, people on Twitter had a great time cracking jokes about anime fans who had accused Yuki Tabata of ripping off shonen cliches. The unique spin that Yuki Tabata put on a well-known anime cliche was lauded by fans. Although Itachi is widely known to have murdered his family, he is far from the only one to do so. Even so, Yuki Tabata’s unique spin on the tired shonen cliché is a welcome change of pace.
Yami Ichika of Black Clover, in contrast to Itachi Uchiha of the Naruto series, who slaughtered his kin to preserve the Hidden Leaf Village, did it under the influence of an old medication that her father had fed her. The patriarch of the Yami clan, the father of Ichika and Sukehiro, was frustrated by the lack of fighting at the time. Therefore, he desired for his kid to achieve his full devilish potential by means of pharmaceuticals. Ichika’s father forced the medication into her system when her mother Sukehiro refused to take it, sending her into a murderous rage and resulting in the deaths of many of her clan mates.
Fans have joked that Yuki Tabata’s decision to change the origin of the Yami clan slaughter was probably for the best since it would have been difficult for Naruto Managaka Masashi Kishimoto and Itachi Uchiha to deal with the situation otherwise.
There’s an indication that Yuki Tabata did a better job of presenting the iconic anime cliche than Masashi Kishimoto. We also learn that the Uchiha clan massacre was the one redeeming feature in Itachi Uchiha’s backstory. He would have left no lasting impression if another character were to do it better. Because then he would’ve been simply another overpowered Uchiha like Shisui Uchiha.
