Recap!
Jinbe knew after Lucci’s attack in Chapter 1069 of One Piece that CPO came to murder Dr Vegapunk, but Luffy questioned Lucci about his motives. Chopper informed Luffy that they had to go since, as Lucci had pointed out, Egghead was still under to World Government control. However, Kaku was frustrated after running into the Straw Hat and Jewelry Bonney Pirates again. Now that Luffy was an Emperor, they couldn’t fight without the Emperor’s blessing.
Later, Luffy instructed Chopper to take care of Bonney while he was with Jinbe. However, he then mentioned that Franky could be more qualified for the position. And in the meantime, Lucci warned Luffy to stay out of Government business. Nonetheless, he insisted that it was his responsibility to aid Atlas because of the respect accorded to him and his team. As Sakazuki waited for the Straw Hat Pirates, he was informed of their position at Marine Headquarters and began to wonder whether Vegapunk had phoned them. When he found out that Kizaru was already halfway to Egghead, he gave Lucci orders to avoid conflict with the Straw Hat Pirates. No one wanted to get between Luffy and Lucci, so everyone tried to mediate, but Lucci didn’t wait for permission to fight.
One Piece Chapter 1070: Spoilers
Luffy starts the next chapter by saying sorry to Sentomaru for hitting him. But Sentomaru claims he anticipated it and prevented it. Lucci recommends Sentomaru simply pass out so CPO can deal with the Seraphim. Later, when Stussy and Kaku, on the sidelines, desperately shout for assistance as Luffy confronts Lucci, no one pays attention to them. Luffy slams into Lucci so forcefully that the latter spins indefinitely, sending him airborne and away from the battlefield. Meanwhile, Kaku suggests CPO will suffer as a result of their internal conflict with Seraphim.
The Vegapunk crew immediately starts leaving the building. Thereafter, the chapter moves on to discuss the laboratory hierarchy in detail. While S-Devil Shark’s Fruit powers are similar to those of Donquixote Family member Senor Pink, Frankly seems astonished by the revelation. Frank is convinced Pink is dead since he understands the potency of each Devil Fruit. However, Dr Vegapunk discloses that Pink is still alive and being held as a prisoner in Impel Down. Dr Vegapunk’s explanation of Devil Fruits is further examined in this chapter.
Recent Spoilers
Luffy’s Gear 5 does have a few drawbacks, as seen once again in Chapter 1070 of One Piece, but its merits significantly exceed its faults. Defeating Luffy is not making Rob Lucci happy. The CP0 agent keeps getting back up, but he can’t seem to land a decent punch on the Straw Hat. It’s made quite apparent in Chapter 1070 of One Piece that Luffy can’t handle Gear 5. For Lucci’s sake, it’s a good thing that Luffy isn’t treating this as a serious fight. Straw Hat, however, still lacks expertise in employing this potent metamorphosis. In Chapter 1070 of One Piece, we see that Luffy still has a long way to go before he fully masters his methods. After he achieves that, however, no one can stand up to him in a direct confrontation.
Luffy may be dangerously irrational at times
In Chapter 1070 of One Piece, Luffy and Lucci’s conflict continues. The Straw Hat is still making a fool of himself in Gear 5 demonstrations. One time he does an impression of the Tasmanian Devil from the Looney Tunes cartoon series by using the Gomu Gomu no Booming White Whip to turn into a tornado. However, as he continues to dig himself deeper, he eventually loses control. He eventually gets back up off the floor and tries to bite Lucci again. This a minor flaw, but Luffy must exercise caution when employing his cartoonish abilities.
The Straw Hat is a very creative individual; if he ever finds himself in a similar predicament, he will surely devise a new strategy. The Rob Lucci’s of the world isn’t all he’ll be facing up against from now until One Piece chapter 1070. Shanks is the type of person who may profit off Luffy’s comedic gaffes.
Over time, he will also show signs of ageing.
According to Chapter 1070 of One Piece, this is Gear 5’s worst flaw. After the battle, Luffy’s strength and vitality quickly drain away, and he begins to visibly age as he retreats into the Labophase. The first appearance of this setback occurred in chapter 1045 of One Piece.
As the effects of his metamorphosis wore off during the last battle against Kaido in the Wano Country storyline, Luffy began to fatigue. But he was able to get his heart going again and go back to normal. It should be remembered, however, that after fighting Kaido with Gear 5, Luffy had to recuperate for a whole week.
Obviously, these disadvantages aren’t that big of a deal
Please note that at this point in the tale, only a small number of individuals are capable of defeating Luffy’s Gear 5. When pitted against the Straw Hat, most characters just don’t have a chance. Specifically, Lucci provides evidence to support this claim in Chapter 1070 of One Piece. However, there are still formidable combatants who can challenge Luffy.
Luffy would have a tough time against either Blackbeard, with his ability to nullify Devil Fruit effects, or Shanks, with his monstrously powerful Haki. Combating with them would expose his inadequacies. After Chapter 1070 of One Piece, it would be intriguing to watch how Kizaru competes against Luffy. During the events of the Sabaody Archipelago arc, the Straw Hat owes the Admiral a great debt of gratitude.
New Leaks for Chapter 1070
In Chapter 1070 of One Piece, one of the most riveting parts of the Egghead Island storyline reaches its climax. Rob Lucci and his Zoan type, Cat-Cat Fruit, Model: Leopard, were quickly and decisively defeated by Monkey D. Luffy in their rematch from the previous issue. Despite the fact that the finish of the fight in One Piece chapter 1070 certainly marks the end of the first of many rematches between the two, the clear victor makes it difficult to imagine that Lucci is a match for Luffy. Whatever the case may be, it’s quite evident that even in his Awakened state, the former’s Devil Fruit is no match for Luffy’s. Yet this in no way diminishes the might of Rob Lucci or his Devil Fruit abilities. It’s possible this Devil Fruit is as amazing as any in the One Piece canon, especially among those of the Zoan variety.
Even though Lucci was defeated by Luffy in Chapter 1070 of One Piece, his Devil Fruit still poses a threat. The Cat-Cat Fruit, Model: Leopard, of the Zoan species, is the Devil Fruit that Rob Lucci eats in One Piece chapter 1070. As Lucci has shown throughout the series, the Fruit allows its owner access to a hybrid form with enhanced strength as well as a full leopard form with superhuman power. Add Lucci’s mastery of the Rokushiki, and you have a recipe for some really lethal physical assaults. The half-leopard form is also very well-made, keeping the user’s height and weight relatively unchanged.
While the full leopard and hybrid forms drastically alter his form and size, this version just slightly increases both. Before even reaching One Piece chapter 1070, series regular Tony Tony Chopper makes the point that the most dangerous transformations are those into carnivorous beasts via the use of Zoans. Considering a leopard’s natural predatory tendencies, this disparity in ferocity is likely amplified when he consumes Lucci’s Fruit and assumes the appearance of a leopard. Lucci was also shown mauling and almost devouring Luffy in a previous meeting, suggesting that the same predatory mentality also takes over the user in full leopard form.
The former also asserts, and Lucci can attest to this, that persons who consume Fruits of this type have a unique expertise in physical power and close combat. In addition to his regular hybrid form, he also has access to a fourth form. Seimei Kikan sometimes referred to as “Life Return,” is the technique he uses to accomplish this. Lucci’s hybrid shape becomes more compact and human-like as a result of this. Despite losing some of his power, he is revealed to be more agile and able to land more strikes than in his hybrid form. In One Piece chapters 1070 and 1069, Lucci battles almost exclusively in his Awakening form, proving that the Fruit is capable of this transformation. The user’s hybrid form undergoes a dramatic transformation, emerging considerably taller and slimmer while keeping the same seeming power.
This ability, inspired by Luffy’s Gear 5 appearance, causes a black flame to create a scarf-like mane down the user’s back, arms, and shoulders. This is strictly conjectural, although some fans believe it to be true of all Awakened Zoan Fruits of a given kind. In One Piece chapters 1070 and 1069, Vegapunk Shaka notes that the user’s personality should have been taken over by Lucci’s Awakened form. It is a credit to Lucci’s willpower and resilience that he has managed to keep his individuality and consciousness intact despite this. This is all the information available on Rob Lucci’s Devil Fruit as of One Piece chapter 1070. Of course, only mangaka Eiichiro Oda knows for sure what will happen in future chapters, so fans will have to keep reading to find out.
