The good news for fans of Japanese manga is that One Piece will have a new chapter out before the year 2022 is over. In between Chapters 1069 and 1070, there was a little break, much to the dismay of One Piece fans. Find out what’s in store for you in the next section by reading on! A shocking claim from Luffy is expected in Chapter 1070 of One Piece, as revealed by leaked information. He will say no to Dr Vegapunk’s plea to replace him as Straw Hat Nakama. If Luffy were to abduct Dr Vegapunk, he would have to leave the advanced laboratories and other infrastructure he has built up in Egghead. Dr Vegapunk’s current investigation into the Void Century and the Ancient Kingdom, as teased in One Piece Chapter 1070 spoilers, is expected to yield new information on both of these topics. Like the nation of Wano, which is currently independent of the Kaido Group, Luffy may decide to make Vegapunk Island his domain.
The OPSpoiler Twitter feed (through HITC) has also released the following spoilers for One Piece Chapter 1070: Five scientists—Vegapunk, Ceasar, Judge, Queen, and an unnamed woman—discuss mankind on the cover. Lucci is becoming increasingly irritated since they are unable to hit Luffy in their ongoing combat with him. As a result of Sentomaru’s loss, he is whisked away for emergency medical care, and Lucci assumes command of the Seraphim. Vegapunk discusses why it’s so hard and risky to recreate Akuma no Mi, yet the Zoan are the simplest to recreate due to their animalistic roots (mythological models require unique environments).
Vegapunk sounds dejected as he explains that Paramecia require a ‘lineage factor’ to duplicate and that Logias are very difficult to imitate. The Five Elders, Dr Vegapunk, Sentomaru, and chip authority are the only ones capable of keeping the Pacifista under control (this includes the Seraphim) (CP0). Dr Vegapunk sends Sentomaru on a mission to eliminate CP0, and Sentomaru plans to assist Luffy in this endeavour. While under attack from Lucci, Sentomaru lost control of the Seraphim. Seraphim will thus carry out CP0’s directives. Both Lucci and Luffy have awoken. Depending on the circumstances, their new appearance may be a halo of black or white smoke. Lucci’s Devil Fruit is still a Leopard even if he is in rebirth mode.
One Piece Chapter 1070 will see Lucci using the Seraphim to fight Luffy, but he may have a hard time beating Yonko. What did Luffy see at Egghead? will be the subject of Chapter 1070 of One Piece. “Gomu Gomu no Don (White) Rocket!” is the name of Luffy’s new attack. Teach and Shanks are also seen fighting. Further, (specific) spoilers for One Piece Chapter 1070 are expected before December 23. On December 26 at 12 am JST, you may read One Piece Chapter 1070.
Latest Updates for Chapter 1070
After the first leaks, further information concerning Kizaru’s next move and the situation on Egghead Island has been made public in the form of spoilers for One Piece Chapter 1070. In the latest chapter of One Piece, which will be released in time for the holidays, Luffy and Lucci’s battle continues after a brief hiatus of one week. More information on the Devil Fruits is also provided, this time by Vegapunk. This page may contain spoilers for One Piece Chapter 1070, so proceed with caution.
Sentomaru, Luffy, and Lucci
Even though the plot has been leaked before, the fresh spoilers provide even more specifics. In the first lines of the new chapter, we see Luffy apologise to Sentomaru for causing him to become distracted and allowing Rob Lucci to successfully strike. However, Sentomaru cautions Luffy against thinking poorly of him. While that’s going on, we see the Seraphim launching an attack on CP0 and Luffy continuing his battle with Lucci. Despite his increased strength, Lucci is still unable to defeat Luffy, who is proving to be a formidable opponent. Following this, Luffy unleashes a devastating punch that sends Lucci flying. Sentomaru will soon instruct Luffy to assist Vegapunk at the vacuum rocket.
Back in the lab, Vegapunk dumps some serious lore bombs on Nami and company. In particular, he highlights how the Seraphim represent the zenith of his developed scientific principles. Vegapunk also discussed the challenges he had in developing his own Devil Fruits. First revealed to be the simplest are Zoans, whereas Paramecias need “Green Blood” extracted from the user’s Lineage Factor.
Lastly, he states that it is extremely difficult to produce a Logia.
Commodore Kizaru and the Navy’s Strike Force
Vegapunk offers to accompany them to the ocean after his explanation.
Franky and Usopp are ecstatic, as one would assume, but Nami is not pleased.
As the last page reveals, Kizaru is en route to Egghead Island with a Navy fleet, making it look like Vegapunk and the Straw Hats won’t have an easy time escaping. On the other hand, Lucci is seen to have seized the leadership of the Seraphim. Kizaru is heading to Egghead Island, where he will almost certainly encounter the fleeing Straw Hats. It’s possible that Kizaru may have to deal with Zoro and Brook, who choose to remain on the Thousand Sunny rather than join the crew. Keep in mind that until One Piece Chapter 1070 is officially released this weekend on Manga Plus, these spoilers should be treated with caution.
Recent Leaks for Chapter 1070
In anticipation of hearing about what is in store for One Piece, attendees at the 2022 Jump Festa were eagerly awaiting the event. The statements made throughout the ceremony were, needless to say, very remarkable. In addition to the news, Oda and his crew also unveiled an official sneak peek photographs for One Piece chapter 1070. After a long hiatus, it was great to finally get a glimpse of what the manga will look like. Fans who don’t want any spoilers should probably stop reading this paragraph and close their browsers immediately. Now that the caveat has been issued, we may begin exploring these pictures.
Luffy and Rob Lucci
Oda ultimately initiated the fight between Rob Lucci and Luffy in the penultimate chapter of One Piece. Since the Enies Lobby storyline, when the young pirate dealt a devastating defeat to the lapdog of the World Government, they haven’t seen each other. Lucci and the other members of CP9 were negatively impacted by the loss since they were all fired. Lucci was severely hurt and helpless to do anything about the situation. His fellow soldiers, though, made a concerted effort to provide him with the care he need. After Lucci recovered, he returned to the Cipher Pol, but this time he was assigned to CP0 rather than CP9.
The assassination of Dr Vegapunk was revealed to be Lucci and his team’s first purpose on Egghead Island. Oda was setting up a potential battle between CP0 and the Straw Hat Pirates in this fashion. When Lucci and Luffy finally met face to face, Lucci immediately attacked. Kaku tried to tell Lucci that they couldn’t combat a Yonko without instructions, but his comments fell on deaf ears. In a matter of seconds, Lucci made the decision to announce the waking of his Neko Neko no Mi, Model: Leopard.
Premiere Presentation
Many viewers thought Lucci would be able to challenge Luffy, but the Yonko quickly proved to be in a class of his own. No matter how many times Lucci tried to attack Luffy, the latter always managed to avoid his blows. When the time arose, Luffy even managed to score a few strikes on the killer. Luffy uses the awakening from his devil fruit to score a knockout blow on Lucci in the official preview photos for Chapter 1070. If the teaser is any indication, Lucci won’t be around for very long. Unless someone steps in, this conflict has the potential to go on for a few more panels.
To the Seraphim
Last time, in Chapter 1069, we saw Lucci on the trail of Sentomaru. Lucci’s motive for attacking Sentomaru was straightforward: eliminating him would give CP0 command of all four Seraphim on Egghead Island. The surprise onslaught from Lucci caught everyone, including Luffy, off guard. Sentomaru was shown unconscious and gushing blood on the final page of the chapter. Whether Sentomaru is still alive is unknown, but given Lucci’s apparent hunger for blood, Marine’s death would hardly come as a shock. Oda will presumably explain this in chapter 1070 and elaborate on the repercussions of the Seraphim serving CP0. Even though they are supposed to be killing Vegapunk, the assassins can’t look the other way when Luffy slaughters their best fighter. Therefore, they may decide to have the Seraphim battle Luffy, greatly increasing the odds against the pirate. Luffy’s superhuman strength is undeniable, but even he wouldn’t be able to take on four Seraphim and Rob Lucci all at once.
Whether or if Sanji and the gang get involved
The Straw Hats are aware of what’s going on between Luffy and Lucci, but they haven’t intervened. However, they would have to intervene after witnessing Luffy being attacked by the Seraphim as well. Two of the Seraphim should be able to be held off by Sanji and Jimbei, but that leaves two more and CP0 to deal with. Seeing that Zoro is still aboard the ship, he is unable to assist them. The Straw Hats should contact Vegapunk and his satellites for aid. Assuming they can direct even one person to the Seraphim’s position, the odds would shift in their favour.
Some may question why they didn’t just do it through a speaker or a transponder snail. But as Stussy pointed out, the Seraphim only accept personal commands. The satellites may disregard directives from CP0 since they have more power. The Straw Hats need to be very cautious since one of the satellites has been severely hurt. The Straw Hats can easily destroy CP0 and escape from Egghead Island with the help of the Seraphim. It has been theorised that Bartholomew Kuma is on his way to the Vegapunk lab, where Bonney is said to be, out of concern for his safety. Kuma may benefit from a visit to Egghead Island, but he has no means of being aware of what is going on there. He may be able to observe the same things as S-Bear on the island if Vegapunk has equipped him with a gadget to do so.
