As of Wednesday, December 21st, the whole synopsis and raw scan spoilers for One Piece Chapter, 1070 were made available online. This chapter features a tense battle between Egghead and Luffy that is rapidly approaching its end. Surprisingly, even though this chapter is definitely moving the Egghead Island storyline towards its last phases, it still manages to seem adequately paced. In Chapter 1070 of One Piece, Dr Vegapunk explains in further detail how the Seraphim produce imitation Devil Fruits and what they taste like. Fans of Eiichiro Oda’s series, which has been running for 25 years and features his writing and illustrations, are gushing over the current issue since it contains this information and much more.
The first half of One Piece Chapter 1070 is dedicated to exposition, but the second half is an exciting sprint to the finish as the Egghead arc comes to a head. In the opening moments of One Piece Chapter 1070, Luffy apologises to Sentomaru for distracting him, which ultimately led to his being struck. In spite of this, Sentomaru argues that Luffy shouldn’t look down on him because he anticipated the attack and avoided it. Lucci advises Sentomaru to simply pass unconscious so that CP0 can take control of the Seraphim. Luffy then tackles Lucci while Kaku and Stussy look on helplessly and shout for their friend from a distance. Seemingly knocked out of the fight by one of Luffy’s blows, he is now drifting away from the battlefield in midair.
While the crew of Vegapunk evacuates, Kaku explains that the company’s internal strife with Seraphim amounts to a loss. From then, the perspective of One Piece Chapter 1070 moves to the laboratory level, where Franky is shocked to learn that S-Shark possesses the same Devil Fruit abilities as Seor Pink of the Donquixote Family. Since each Devil Fruit is unique, Franky assumes that Seor Pink is no longer with us. However, Dr Vegapunk assures us that Pink is really still with us, albeit imprisoned in Impel Down. The good doctor continues by saying that he can only dependably reproduce Zoan Devil Fruits if we exclude Caesar Clown’s SMILE Fruits. He goes on to explain that all Devil Fruits could be replicated if he had unlimited resources at his disposal.
However, he stresses that it is not yet known whether or not these copies can be Awakened. In Chapter 1070 of One Piece, Dr Vegapunk elaborates further on how to recreate Devil Fruits, noting that he attempted every possible method for Logia Fruits, but that they are “tough.” He stresses that obtaining the ability user’s lineage component is all that is required to recreate a Paramecia Fruit. Then, he uses that blood to create an alternative kind that can provide power to others. The Seraphim have this “green blood” pumping through their veins, which gives them access to the Devil Fruits contained therein. Dr Vegapunk elaborates while images of other Seraphim demonstrating their Devil Fruit powers appear on the screen.
The good doctor continues by saying that the Seraphim represent the zenith of human achievement in scientific achievement. All of the Straw Hats are stunned to learn this, but their reactions specialise in highlighting particular facets of the Seraphim’s existence. The action then shifts to Luffy and Lucci in Chapter 1070 of One Piece, where Sentomaru runs away while Luffy and Lucci continue to battle. Lucci is already frustrated by the fact that he can’t strike Luffy in his Gear 5 form, but seeing how much fun Luffy is having only adds fuel to the fire. From Lucci’s post-attack comments, it appears that Luffy’s new technique, the Gum-Gum Dawn, knocked him out. Meanwhile, S-Snake is guiding the remaining members of Luffy’s original crew to an escape rocket. Chopper hails Luffy, as Sentomaru cautions him from rushing into the ship and says he trusts Luffy with Dr Vegapunk.
Luffy assures Bonney that everything will be taken care of, and then the rocket blasts off without them, causing Bonney to awaken and demand to know where Dr Vegapunk is. When she finally opens her eyes, she notices Luffy and wonders who he is; Jinbe promises to fill her in on the backstory later. Later, in Chapter 1070 of One Piece, CP0 talks about the previous combat, with Kaku denouncing Sentomaru’s treason. On the other hand, Stussy is trying to get Lucci to remember that they have been waiting for the Marines to arrive. Nami and Usopp question Dr Vegapunk if CP0 truly plans to murder them, while Lucci argues that the Straw Hats will escape if they wait.
While Usopp attempts to calm Nami down while Dr Vegapunk contemplates how their presence must have been fate, Nami comes to the conclusion that they should also eliminate Dr Vegapunk. One Piece Chapter 1070’s concluding pages show Nami’s crew gushing over the impending arrival of Dr Vegapunk on board the Thousand Sunny. However, it appears like Luffy’s crew has brought Atlas to a hospital or clinic for treatment. Here, Bonney tries to go to look for Dr Vegapunk, claiming that she still wants his answer and may have to kill him if she can’t get it elsewhere.
Meanwhile, Lucci instructs the CP0 agents to barricade all exits from the island, thinking reflectively that there are still six more Vegapunks to remove. Before the problem switches to Kizaru sailing to Egghead Island, he also praises the island’s formidable defences. After giving the subject some thought, he decides to halt the Straw Hats’ exploits by deploying “as many battleships as possible against Egghead.” This concludes One Piece Chapter 1070, and the next week will be a break for the holidays.
