After the first leaks, further information concerning Kizaru’s next move and the situation on Egghead Island has been made public in the form of spoilers for One Piece Chapter 1070. In the latest chapter of One Piece, which will be released in time for the holidays, Luffy and Lucci’s battle continues after a brief hiatus of one week. More information on the Devil Fruits is also provided, this time by Vegapunk. This page may contain spoilers for One Piece Chapter 1070, so proceed with caution.
Sentomaru, Luffy, and Lucci
Even though the plot has been leaked before, the fresh spoilers provide even more specifics. In the first lines of the new chapter, we see Luffy apologise to Sentomaru for causing him to become distracted and allowing Rob Lucci to successfully strike. However, Sentomaru cautions Luffy against thinking poorly of him. While that’s going on, we see the Seraphim launching an attack on CP0 and Luffy continuing his battle with Lucci. Despite his increased strength, Lucci is still unable to defeat Luffy, who is proving to be a formidable opponent. Following this, Luffy unleashes a devastating punch that sends Lucci flying. Sentomaru will soon instruct Luffy to assist Vegapunk at the vacuum rocket.
Back in the lab, Vegapunk dumps some serious lore bombs on Nami and company. In particular, he highlights how the Seraphim represent the zenith of his developed scientific principles. Vegapunk also discussed the challenges he had in developing his own Devil Fruits. First revealed to be the simplest are Zoans, whereas Paramecias need “Green Blood” extracted from the user’s Lineage Factor.
Lastly, he states that it is extremely difficult to produce a Logia.
Commodore Kizaru and the Navy’s Strike Force
Vegapunk offers to accompany them to the ocean after his explanation.
Franky and Usopp are ecstatic, as one would assume, but Nami is not pleased.
As the last page reveals, Kizaru is en route to Egghead Island with a Navy fleet, making it look like Vegapunk and the Straw Hats won’t have an easy time escaping. On the other hand, Lucci is seen to have seized the leadership of the Seraphim. Kizaru is heading to Egghead Island, where he will almost certainly encounter the fleeing Straw Hats. It’s possible that Kizaru may have to deal with Zoro and Brook, who choose to remain on the Thousand Sunny rather than join the crew. Keep in mind that until One Piece Chapter 1070 is officially released this weekend on Manga Plus, these spoilers should be treated with caution.
